Yeah im excited for classic too, but is not it too soon to forget all Blizzard’s mistakes?
Did they learn the lesson with bfa?
Wasnt classic announcement out of despair? Just like Riot release new skins and Urf when they f*up the game…
I hope they dont fail with classic just like they did with retail…in my personal opinion the streamers flavored beta was just their first mistake.

No, nostalgia made you blind.
You’re getting Classic. There’s good stuff and there’s bad stuff. The game itself will be the same as it was years ago, but it’s a museum piece, a trip down memory lane.
You don’t get your cherry popped a second time: if you’re expecting the same mind-blowing experience you got the first time you played Vanilla, you’re going to be disappointed.

i’ll tell you it’s closer to classic on some pservers than it is by Blizzard. Blizzard is trying to walk a fine line between “modern” gamers and classic gamers. and basically no one is getting what they wanted exactly.

what blizzard has to do for classic to be successful is pretty simple, and that is nothing
after they release the game (and layering is out, the bugs are cleaned up), all they have to do is nothing, we already know classic is good + a fun game, as long as it stays that way and they don’t try to do any expansion or changes it will be there for us always to have fun + play

I don’t think the majority of us have forgotten the negative aspects. In fact, I suspect the reason we are all so excited is because of how stink the content has been.
I think we have transitioned from the years of “blizzard are so crap, xpacs get worse each time, blizzard only focus on money” to “oh wow, there is some potential here”. We honestly, haven’t had much to be excited about over the years. Most are just optimistic and hopeful. Some of us are taking longer than others to reach that point.
Should we all have reservations? 100 percent. Should we let that get us down? Yeah, probably not.
What? They announced Classic way before all the BFA hate.

The actual code is closer than a pirated version. /shock
They will, it has layering.

Yeah and the more sad thing is we are over 30-35 years old… At this point everyone should be “laughing” and “chilling” not MOANING in rage like tenaggers

Not this again. Ive played on about 6 different pservers on every one something was wrong.
Be it mob or quests or simply certain mechanics missing completely.
Pservers are fine for what they are a cheap Chinese ripoff

Anyone saying layering is bad at this point clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

I’m not here to argue about it. Just voicing my opinion ma’am.
Say what you will but most people are fussing about the minor things, we got what we mostly wanted on the big stuff from the Devs months ago.
They need time to get the layering right, or at least enough time to know its not going to work, one or the other. But most of the rest of it? AV? Beta? Addons? Petty stuff mainly.
What argument lol?
Its a simple fact.
Originally vanilla launch had 200,000 unique players on day 1. With a lot of servers
Classic is being estimated at around 5mil that blizz is expected. During the demo they only had 20 servers. Lets say they doubled that to 40. Which i highly doubt.
That still leaves 125000 players per server. It took people a few hours to complete old quests just with a small percentage of yhat number back in vanilla.
Layering is good from a straight numbers factor.
