Im not trumpeting anything. Im on herod, horde dominant. Yet the alliance has no trouble taking control of multiple zones because they form raids just like the horde does.
They’re in a raid, afk farming honor because the game is broken and encourages that behavior.
It’s a broken game that will die because blizzard doesn’t care. It’s over. The alliance will quit now, the horde will quit once they’ve realized they’re stuck on a de facto PVE one faction server.
It’s sad. The game was fun, it would’ve been nice to have a studio that wasn’t so wantonly indifferent and incompetent but that’s not the case.
Yes, blame somone else for your decisions. It is 2019 after all
laughs in remulos
I agree with the OP.
If I could switch servers, I would choose a PVP server again. I chose a PVP server because I prefer PVP servers.
What I did not sign up for is 80% horde vs 20% alliance. There is no PVP solution to solve this problem of 4v1.
Give me 60:40 and I’m fine with that - at least there’s a chance. If I were the Horde on a 80:20 server I’d be annoyed too because 4v1 is not PVP, it’s keyboard faceroll - that gets boring too, eventually.
Implement a hard lock on the active logged-in server balance at 60% max for either faction, and let the over-populated side have a queue. Give them free server transfers to lower population servers. Eventually the Horde will be tired of the queues and some will transfer until the issue is gone.
Sure this would be annoying for Horde players, but a long-term solution will make both sides happier and that will increase the longevity of the game.
I guarantee if the shoe was on the other foot there would be such a bigger uproar. You wouldn’t take your own advice.
“PvP happened on a PvP server!”
“Roll PvE!”
“Get good, scrub!”
Am I doing it right?
That would require them to care. They don’t care. They’re just going to soak their shrinking player base, expending as little time and money as they can, while the game dies.
Most people that came back to classic assumed it was no changes aka 3k max server pop. At 3k max pop even if it was 2k horde 1k alliance the game was playable. With these pops now the game is unplayable if your outnumbered 3 to 1. Its not pvpers fault they didnt read the terms that there was no limit to server size. I heard classic came out and it was “no changes”. No max pop size is a huuuuuge change and one that is looking like it ruined phase 2.
The amount of neckbeards raging on the inside about the decline of subs in astonishing. They know the game is dying and that a lot of people have quit in phase 2.
But hey ‘g…get good’ as they play their dead server while everyone else is playing Shadowlands
Look at the bright side if they reset or refresh classic people will learn not to roll on pvp servers. A harsh lesson indeed but one they will never forget.
I rather see the game die then give it back to the same casuals who took us into retail. You want fair, balanced and unforgiving game play? Guess What retail is that way —>
60/40 isn’t any better. It’s what we have on benediction, if I’m to believe ironforge.pro, but it still feels like 100/0. Alliance (me included) simply seems totally uninterested in PvP’ing. If it wasn’t for joining a friend (which incidentally quit 2 days after phase 2 hit…), I would have never rolled on a PvP server. When I saw he was on a PvP server, I hoped against all odds it’d be alliance heavy enough that I could just go on with my business, and PvP at times when bored late night. Well, seems like I lost that bet.
That’s why I hope they open server transfers soon, from PvP to PvE, so I can salvage my /played of 22 days. I created a new character on a normal server, and loggued right off. Not really interested in starting all over.
What are you adding to this conversation with such a lazy, copy-pasted, response?
There’s a difference between not liking PVP and not liking to be completely and utterly outnumbered at all times. That should be obvious by now but you’re probably just trolling anyways.
As I said earlier, I signed up for PVP and would do so again…but none of us signed up for 4v1 odds.
And don’t talk about “fair and balanced” - that’s not what we’re asking for. We’re asking for reasonable limits to imbalance so that it remains competitive.
If you really enjoy PVP being mostly skill-less facerolling where the only competition is to “tag” someone so you get the honor from their kill, then you’re probably a PVP scrub anyways.
Why are you replying to this thread
Horde accounts defending the state of the game… Whether it should of been foreseen or not, whether there is a fix or not… Blizz should be talking. Paying customers are complaining, so lets here some chatter from them? Nothing.
Here’s the usual occurrence as Alliance on Arugal - 60 Hunter wanting to do ony attune, ahhhh shiz I need to fly to winterspring. Fly in, land with 20 horde sitting around the flight path. Sheeped on arrival with detect magic so they know when honorless drops. Then raped. Then they move to my max rez distance and rinse/repeat.
After maybe 5-6 some of the sweaters may drop off and go back to the flightpath groupbang and you’ll just have the leeching additionals not in the raid group who’ll take over the corpse camp at max rez range.
Sure, you can call in the guild or several, but its come in - wipe them, then take off real quick before locusts swarm there for the vulture smell of a hk. Entirely outnumbered so can never sustain control.
Cant even fly to menethil or upon landing you cop this same treatment. The same no-lifing rogues/mage group has been there for the last 3 weeks straight.
PVP server, I get it… is what it is… but a lot of people didn’t foresee the severity and don’t want to reroll and lose all that time invested and the wife/missus/work aggro that went with it. So is there a solution? Probably not… But lets hear blizzard talk about it.
If those “expert” players are so knowledgeable about getting their character ready to raid then how come they couldn’t figure out long before they hit 60 that there was going to be a big challenge playing on a pvp server?
Look I 100% agree with you on faction imbalance being a major issue. Many factors contributed to this undesirable situation but at the same time we can’t bend the knee to casuals.
Was it your fault most of the alliance players are cowards?
Was it your fault that blizzard made mega server cus they cheap?
Was it your fault alliance is attractive to retail casuals?
Was it your fault blizzard let alliance abandon servers to HS?
No man it’s not your fault. At this point the battle lines are drawn and I’m fighting for the future of the game. I didn’t speak up during vanilla/bc/wrath and look at what we got a p2w, microtx, mount simulator of a game called retail.
You may be right about all of that, but don’t act like we’re asking for Blizzard to force Alliance to outnumber the horde so that we can make up for inferior PVP skill/desire…
I actually don’t mind being on the weaker side and being in the minority role…but again, 4v1 is a joke and it’s not competitive nor fun.
There are ways for Blizzard to try and address this. To just let it play out is to just watch it die.
The same people crying ‘get good’ ‘its pvp server’ would be the first one’s to cry if they were on the receiving end. Would anyone here expect a game to succeed (fps for example, where its 30 vs 10? or a MOBA where its 8v2? … nope.). Same principles apply to WoW, evident by the mass exodus of people who appear to be quitting.
