The entire ally population on your server can’t do 2 or 3 raids?

Instead of rerolling pve, or quitting, why don’t you go to a server with a more even population?
because that is not what he wants, he wants what the majority of players on a PvP server want which is to be part of the dominate faction.

The faction ratio would still be the same. The majority faction would still be camping, and no you would not be seeing less of them. The amount of roving gank squads will still be out in force.

Either reroll on a pve server, wait for an update to change the situation or quit playing. Blizz cannot do anything about it. What do you honestly actually realistically think they can do? You’re complaining about pvp server gameplay.

Replace dominate with somewhere near even or slightly outnumbered and you’re correct.

Show me screens of the 3 - 4 ally raids getting crushing on your server and them we can look for a fix later. Pvp problems have pvp solutions, stand up.

If bg queue times are really long because of uneven factions, what do you think the honor farmers will do while they’re waiting for their queues to pop?

I started playing in open beta testing of vanilla in 2004…the problem is Horde have ALWAYS been more aggressive and sought pvp more than Alliance (in my opinion and from what I always saw). The only thing I can kind of see is maybe Blizz adding an incentive for more Alliance to roll on pvp servers. What would that look like and should they even try to mess with things like that? There’s no win for Alliance on those servers.

The bottom line is the faction imbalance is terrible and with many more people on servers than the map can handle it makes it unplayable.
Many of you are defending the current situation and offering suggestions like reroll etc, lots of people simply wont do this.
Classic has a life span like any other game and with every lost sub it gets one step closer to not being worthwhile for Blizz and them taking servers down.
Everyone should be seeking some sort of fix to the current state, whether you’re on the dominate faction or playing on a pve server.

I do see your point but I stand on the side of Blizz not stepping in and policing the community or trying to tell people how to play or what faction to roll on. Are you asking for a new pvp server for lower population? That still wouldn’t fix the problem.

still no suggestion for a fix I see.
But let’s show why this is not fixable.
Let’s say server A has 10000 max characters online at once.
Let’s say it’s 50/50 split for balance BUT Horde is 80% at max level and Alliance is 20% at max level. All players have a max level this is strictly the character they chose after logging in.
So just looking at Max level you suddenly have 4k horde and 1k alliance and the alliance come here and complain about imbalance when the fact is that the server is at exactly 50/50 balance.
how do you fix that situation ?

Even then, there’s servers such as heartseeker and deviate delight.
either way, balanced factions are a pipe dream as people tend to only look at max level when that’s a tiny portion of the logged in playerbase as a rule (usually 50% or less) so there is no way really to know the faction balance. Plus you add in that players have proven (by characters created and paid and free transfers) they don’t want balance anyway.

At the end of the day I think people who want to play the game will reroll on a pve server. If it wasn’t faction imbalance and struggles on a pvp server it would be something else for people who are just going to quit. Player drop off is completely normal.
