What is the best World Boss Timer for hunting Huolon? Can you please share a link? I found a few on CurseForge but I don’t know what one to get. Any help please? Thank you.
Be warned, hes a 1-5% drop chance rare, one kill per toon once a day. Wowhead can give you some guestimates on his spawning timer.

This is not true. I just got him like a week ago.
You don’t need an addon or anything. Just set a timer on your phone for 29minutes. His timer is 30-60mins. At 29mins, you have time to switch over from some other chr.
Park an alt there and play like normal on your main. Do whatever you want for 29mins, then swap over. Wait for the kill, and then swap back.
IT IS NOT locked to “one kill per chr per day.” You can tag Huolon on any chr as many times as you want. This is not only confirmed by ENDLESS posts on Wowhead, but you’ll also notice if you’re running Rarity that every time you tag Huolon, your count goes up by 1.

and watch closely because people are known to pew pew him up near ordos bridge and the people down camping wont even know he spawned or died.

I levelled a character on a very low pop server just for Huolon. My sister did the same thing and it didn’t take her too long to get the mount.

On a tangently-related note for hunters, you do not have to compete with people farming the mount if you want one as your pet, there is an identical one from island expeditions:
Being an island expedition, the opposing faction’s NPCs can kill it before you find it, though.

If I ‘Taunt’ Huolon, does that count as tagging it?
yes it does Trusha. any ability, whether it does damage or not, counts.
He spawns by the lower bridge. If there’s anyone waiting there he dies instantly. If there is no one there, he flies up and around. repeatedly. The best place to get him if you find that has happened is between the two upper bridges. You’ll see him flying from the Ordos area. He dips down into range up there. I’ve killed him many times for coins up there on a dead realm.
Just adding a “this guy is right” to the list. Kill Huolon as many times as you want and enjoy it.

i believe it’s 30mins - usually 60mins but yes it can go over 60mins. need to camp where he spawns because he dies FAST. as for drop rate it’s low but you can farm him as much as you want his drop chance is not 1 per day per character. he is farmable. Best way is to simply make a macro and put in an instant cast spell that does damage.
for my mage i’d just put fire blast.

Farming Huolon is dead simple. If you have two accounts, spin up a class trial on a dead RP realm, fly it to TI and then use that toon to invite a non-trial toon into the shard. Enjoy.
Or if you only have one account - level a toon on a dead RP realm or find someone else to invite you into a dead RP realm shard. You get the picture. It’s also a great way to farm Frightened Kodo etc., since in most cases you’ll end up on a fresh shard.
Upgrade all mount dropping bosses to current power levels so they last more than 5 seconds.
Is taunting Huolon a viable way to taking him quickly? Does it still work if someone instantly kills it?
Could always try heading out there with WM on. That’s how I was able to tame him with all.my hunters. No one was out there in WM so every single rare was up on the island.

Do you mean Weapon Master? What ability works for Huolon?
By WM I mean War Mode. Most folks don’t turn it on so older remote areas tend to be empty which makes it easier to go after contested farm content. All my cloud serpents - Huolon, Nalak, and Rei Lun I tamed with War Mode active.
No. Let’s compare two Rares:
Galleon has an EXACT 15 min timer. You can set your own timer to 14:59 and at EXACTLY 15mins … Galleon will spawn.
Huolon’s timer is not like that. It is a RANGE. It is 30-60mins.
@Fox, because the range is 30-60, over a large enough sample we would expect to see an average of 45mins. But that doesn’t make the ACTUAL spawn time 45mins. And that’s because it’s not-- it is a range of 30-60. If you’re going after the “Bigger Bag” Achv, something like half of the Rares in Timeless Isle have this same 30-60min range timer.
And no, it does not go over 60. It is 30-60. On one of my attempts, it didn’t spawn until 59mins … but that’s not over 60. 
I again recommend my advice: park an alt there and set a timer for 29mins. Play your main as usual and swap over when the timer goes off. JOIN A GROUP OF NO MORE THAN FIVE once you’re there (you will all SHARE THE KILL so always group up, but it can’t be a raid) and try your best to get the tag. Set a new timer for 29mins. Swap back to your main and wait.
