As a Rogue that has dealt with their combat bugs, dropping stealth bugs, and etc for years, I think you may want to warm up to them not fixing it.
Probably going to get that, “that was an unintended bug in the game that players were exploiting” considering all.

I did submit a bug report over a week ago. Now I submitted a forum post because clearly they haven’t seen it is worth responding to their community and letting them know that they are at least looking into it.
Throwing excuses and what if’s at me like I would act the way you’re acting right now sounds like an attack to me. You said your piece. Threatening Blizzard to quit playing your character right now won’t solve anything.
I’ve been having reasonable success with FD>trapping, but it does feel slower than I remember. I suspect against better opponents my luck would be worse.
Frankly, if they can’t fix this, I really think they should just change scatter and trap from DRing each other. Yes, it’s technically accurate that scatter and trap DR each other on this specific patch, but it didn’t on basically any other patch. Scatter and trap not DRing is significantly more accurate to classic than having it DR. I’m pretty sure 90% of the PvPers out there don’t even realize this is the case yet.
Hunter is very fun in classic. Yet very clunky, it needs to be worked on.
People such as yourself really confuse me. There is a small portion of the population that seems to enjoy being stepped on and down trodden. They seem to have no real sense of self worth or respect. They demand nothing and take abuse as if they deserve it.
Stand up for yourself. Stand up for what is right. Complain about things you love and things you pay for to make them better. Your attitude is so defeatist it makes me sad and sick.

Blizzard doesn’t owe me anything, and I’m not entitled to anything. Your crying doesn’t bother me one way or the other. You either accept my advice or don’t. I’m not going to lose sleep over it.
So you pay 15$ a month. They don’t owe you access to servers and a playable game? They shouldn’t provide a quality experience without game breaking bugs? Who taught you this mentality?
What is next? I prepay for gas and the gas station doesn’t owe me anything…the gas just doesn’t pump I need to get over it? Or the gas comes out but instead of 93 I get 88 and I need to just accept it an pay for the 93 even though I got 88?
If I don’t like the product they provide, I cease to pay them. It’s pretty simple.

You are actually wrong though. It is actually bugged. A lot of the times your character won’t even do the animation at all but still have CD of it being used. Most of the time even when you feign death and have pet on passive FD won’t even take you out of combat.
Has nothing to do with using a “brain dead “ macro or anything. It’s broken

So you would give someone money for a product, totally be unsatisfied with the product, and quietly stop using the product you paid for.
Pretty sure that is the opposite of what companies want. It is the opposite of how things improve also. If everyone were like you, nothing would get better, you realize that, right?
FD + Trap is bugged, tried like 10 iterations of a trapping macro (ones linked in this thread) and none worked, I could get it maybe 1 out of 8 times to put a trap down but it was under a weird condition with pet dead, or slow attack speed, or leaving combat trough a different way other than FD for a sec. At max level it would be even worse. This was a staple of PVP for hunters back in the day and gave them a chance vs. melee classes. Now hunters are severely outclassed because their way to create space is bugged and doesn’t work anymore.
Y’all need to stop being Ticks and trying to get under each others skin, for real.
If you want to do something productive you’d be posting about this in the BUG REPORT Threads that already exist and have already gotten Customer Service attention in the VERY LEAST as they’d been moved there for the purpose of dealing with this bug.
What’s bothering me the most right now is that how many hunters know it’s bugged and people coming in with the whole get good blah blah blah answers. Yes hunters are a little buggy and have the weakness.
But for the most part FD trap worked like 95% of the time. You can literally look at one of the thousand hunter pvp videos from vanilla and watch hunters in multiple 1 v X’s and see how it worked.
It’s literally broken right now. Needs to be looked and and fixed

Maybe if the community cared more about the gameplay quality rather than trying to earn green font from sucking up to blizzard we would get somewhere. Every bug report or thread explaining issues is slammed by a long list of players who are trying to justify the errors and say that there is some inherent issue with how the poster went about bringing the problem to light.
