Would you use Fear or Polymorph on: A hunter pet or a healer? Would you use a STUN on a pet or someone you want dead? Would you use Hibernate on a shifted druid for a 10+ second CC on a player stopping 100% of their damage or a hunter pet to reduce a hunter’s damage by 70%?
The fact that the overwhelming response was “Just CC the pet” by that logic proves it is more powerful than players.

What hard CC does a hunter have that can be used in combat?
At 60 they have feign trap which is about the best CC out there you can use mid combat besides sheep. At 25 they have fear beast which would work on pets. Also, because the Scorpid does most of its dmg via DoT you have to CC it without it even touching you or no point which is something even fewer classes can do.
What hard CC does most classes have that can be used in combat, moreover, that they have at level 25 against the current bust AF hunter pet?
You’re the one claiming others can just CC the pet like most classes even have any real CC. They don’t. What CC the hunter has in this question YOU posed is irrelevant because it was about how MOST OTHER classes could at 25 counter the pet via ‘CC’ like you were suggesting int he current SoD context.

If you get a hibernate off on a druid that druid is BAD.
I can tell a bad druid when i get a scare beast off on them.
And if you are focusing the healer as a group, you can spare a CC for the hunter pet.
Sheep the pet, stun and kill the healer. Wow so hard! Remember people overall have low hp vs the damage output, if you have 2-3 people hitting a healer, he should die inside of the stun.
If you are 1v2’ing people in your example you are probably dead either way.
If there is an ally there with you, maybe you two should work together to spread out CC’s. Except, of course if that ally with you is a hunter, because they have no in combat CC’s.

Just decided to get a Raid boss pet myself today on my new Hunter. Did the long journey on my lvl 15 hunter with a lot of swimming to pick up the level 10 Scorpid in Durotar.
At level 10 the Pet is doing 34 dmg per tick at 1 stack. Obviously this shouldn’t be the case and then it scales to silly levels from there. It’s broken.
Obviously we all need to just play Hunters and enjoy the best Tanks and Dots in the game.
Wrong. Scorpid poison does more damage then Dot Classes and more overall damage then many Classes. The pet does unhealable damage and ohh there is also the hunter.
