Why making a class so dependent on a very rare bow drop from the last boss of the Vault ?
Cannot participate in pug raids without having 6 hunters applying cause they have no choice and must get this bow to be worth something in PVE
Remove the bow haste buff and rework the talents.

Yeah, I got the heroic Ras trinket off the earlier mythic/timewalking weekly, it’s weird thinking my weapon gearing would’ve been just DONE for this raid tier if I lucked into the bow instead.
Also it’s cos of this bow existing that is messing with Hunter tuning IMO. Can’t have too much buffs, cos they might expand beyond intended impact with this bow existing.

That’s where you start your own group and don’t invite any hunters… I may or may not be thinking about doing just that. I haven’t gotten it from any of the weekly chests, the vault, or raid. I rolled a freaking 4 on the lfr one this week.
I wish they did something like this in the first place. Have it be a quest to unlock the equip if they must, but don’t tie it to rng.

I’ve found myself in the unenviable position of applying to mythic raid groups and being denied because I don’t have Neltharax. The fact that a 392 LFR Neltharax is more DPS than a 418 embellished BotDH for BM Hunters is astonishing. I have no idea how this bow got past beta testing.

You know what’s more annoying? Having noob hunters who got the bow early, parsing well and thinking they suddenly became gifted overnight. Telling the rest to get good.
Hunters who haven’t even done any mythic or haven’t even killed Raz on normal but they get H Raz bow from weekly quest (the 4 mythic dungeon one)

I could not agree with anything more in my life! Speaking specifically as BM the Bow is the single largest DPS upgrade by like 15%. It becomes pretty much mandatory which sucks butt for me as my guild cleared normal and is now solely focused on Heroic. Which has left me to pug (gross), pay for Ras kills, pray I get lucky with vault.
There is speculation that the Bow will remain BiS even through the next tier which would be bonkers but I wouldn’t doubt it. Also the 2/4pc tier (mainly 2pc) being pretty much required to make the spec feel like it flows good. As of last night I finally got 4pc which is good.
I hope they learn from this, not saying rare items shouldn’t be a great upgrade but they shouldn’t make or break a spec. I shouldn’t need a rare upgrade to stay competitive with classes/specs that can do it through normal gearing.

The thing is, I’m pretty sure they designed this bow with MM in mind and BM wasn’t even a thought. Why? Because for MM, the attack speed really only makes Auto Shot, Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire faster. For BM, it makes Auto Shot faster, but also makes pets attack 30% faster. Since pets are now 70-80% of our damage, it’s a massive upgrade for BM.
MM Hunters with bad luck can just get an embellished BotDH at 418 and be fine. It still lags behind Neltharax, but only by a couple percent. For BM Hunters with bad luck, your PvE season is essentially garbage. That’s not to say BM doesn’t work without Neltharax, but it’s definitely lagging behind in a way that is not fun.

I personally like it, yeah I have the norm version but I ran my raids to get it. Waited for the chest like everybody else. I liked having to go for a bleed sword every patch that I played in BFA. Cool weapons, imo are fun to go after, especially once you get it and you’re mega hyped.
Problem with that is RNG. I went all of SL, killing Sylvanas every week on multiple difficulties, and never even saw Rae’shalare drop. Same thing is happening now with Rasz bow.
