Imagine sweating and min maxing a level 25.

It’s not about sweating and min-maxing. Other classes are getting fun and interesting runes while Hunter is getting boring stat increases and runes for skills that aren’t even good without their associated talents that come from later expansions.

Hunter is going to be SO strong in phase 1. They just had to nerf them due to that fact. Some classes needed less help for phase 1. I will reserve complaining about my hunter until the final phase and level 60.

The entire reason Explosive Shot is a fun ability is because Lock and Load exists. Without Lock and Load, it’s just another instant damage button you press every 6 seconds. In the current runes, Chimera Shot and Explosive Shot are identical and you will just pick the one that does more damage.

It’s the same thing with Serpent Spread. Serpent Spread is fun in Cataclysm BECAUSE SERPENT STING HAS INITIAL APPLICATION DAMAGE AND MULTISHOT HAS NO CD. It gives your Multishot some extra oomph because you can spam it and SV’s mastery gives more damage to magical damage. Why the heck would I care about putting a 6s DoT on 3 targets? Especially when in Classic there’s literally nothing for you to do in 3+ target situations in the first place. What, do you think I’m going to volley with the pitiful Classic damage scaling? No, I’m going to be tab+serpent stinging anyway BECAUSE THERE’S NOTHING ELSE TO DO.

It does feel like they just haphazardly copy-pasted various expansion mechanics into classic without much thought.

It’s cool Explosive Shot is there and apparently scales off attack power but hopefully they do more with it. After all, that entire Explosive Shot centred spec no longer exists in retail so it would be nice to finally see more work on that concept in some form.

Why didn’t they swap the Mana bar out for Focus? I mean every other talent is from the same type of era. I think this should have been done and steady shot being implemented as well

Agreed, I think the bigger thing would have been to add they shots they did, but give Focus and lose the mana bar, and add steady shot as the generator. I think this would have made a lot more sense

Why the heck would I care about putting a 6s DoT on 3 targets?

For your pet survivability thats why you have Lone Wolf. you don’t use a pet you get more dmg.

You do realize Bliz loves Hybrid classes, its always the true classes that get nerfs first. Yes I agree they hate hunters especially. I think if they had just included Rangers in SoD and deleted hunters they would have been super happy, that way they could hybriditize rangers and get what they originally wanted.

In classic Era Hunter is actually good.

In SoD it could be great with a few changes
