Hey everybody. Was planning on getting into leather working temporarily until my hunter was level 40 but now I’m thinking of going into engendering so I can make my own ammo. Like bullets? But can I make arrows with engineering or blacksmithing?
Also do guns and billets provide more damage than arrows and bows?
Engineering can craft Arrows or Bullets, Blacksmithing cannot.
Weapon/Ammo type doesn’t give more damage, what matters is the stats on the item and the DPS on the ammunition you use.
The dps on the item/weapon matters too, right?

Ammo’s DPS is basically just added to your Weapon DPS to calculate damage.
If you have a bow with a speed of 3 that does 200 to 400 base damage, you get 100 DPS on the bow. If the ammo give 50 DPS, then that would equate to 100 to 200 more base damage for a weapon with a speed of 3, or the equivalent of a bow with a speed of 3 that does 300 to 600 damage or 150 DPS
The faster a weapon (meaning a speed with a lower number) the lower the base damage of the weapon and ammo since you’re shooting it faster.
