Hunter Pets, what do you like?

I tried to get this pet way back then, I was so close to the point I collected all the items. Just couldn’t quite get the help I needed. Was a bit frustrating, but is what it is.

As for OPs question, I use Netherbeak [renamed Galaxy].

I also use the Leyfeather mount to go with him.

Amazing story! My little classic nelf is to tame that one too once she gets to that level. But luckily for her, it’s close to home.

I have mixed feelings about the need for specific pets for abilities, But it makes sense lorewise as well. I loved being able to respec pets in legion, but again, it makes more sense that each beast family has it’s own spec.

I really like using Hati. One thing is I like is being able to ride around on my own pet when I’m in a flightless area. Here is what I’m going to look like when 8.3 launches

What pet can a BM hunter currently use to rez?
Last I heard that ability was removed from hunter pets.

Rays, for their dispel, leech, and lust.

I have a lot of characters, it depends on the character for me. I have one that only hunts the rare ones, but it would be too time consuming on all of them, I have one that tames the famous cats, I have one that likes to tame the more exotic beasties. I like collecting the big ones on my Gnome Hunter, because it’s fun to have all her pets tower over her. With my others it doesn’t matter so much.

It would be tempting to tame all the rare ones on all my characters, or just tame anything I take a fancy to, but then I would get to sidetracked with pet collecting to actually play the game.

You say this as if it’s a problem?
It’s just another game only hunters can play. ^^

I only go for some pets on my hunter, chances are that if they’re not that good and I don’t find them appealing, I won’t bother. But then there’s special situations where I go and tame something because I want to have a pet with a specific name (like the white corehound at Azuremyst, tamed it to name it Sadaharu and if anyone catches on this reference, we should hang out).

But my all time favorite it’s Gondria. I have a thing for cats, specially big cats, and Gondria to me it’s beautiful.

Haha true, but doing this on only one character is enough for me, on all my alts, I think I would go a bit stir crazy.

Medium size I guess. My favorites are bears, pandaren tigers and draenor wolves. I usually go with those the most.

I like the fiery turtle from Mount Hyjal.
took a bit to get it. People were always there trying to get it too and in the true spirit of WoW communiteez if they saw you were about to get it, they’d kill it instead of just being decent human beings.
Took me about two months because of that nonsense.

I like lots of different pets (wolves from WoD and up, Loque, Lightningpaw), but my voided out marsuul named Rodent is always a fav. I once had a tank tell me it was the most annoying pet in the game.

I just wish I could pick him up and fling him at my enemies. Think Fry finding out the badger was still in his lucky pants.

Model is nice, texture is GARBAGE.
I hate what they did to the Hyena. They look like someone colored them in with the paint bucket tool. All that nice texture-work they had in the old model is now just gone.
Glad they got an updated model, but I wish they hadn’t gone and gotten lazy on it.
:C

When I had first started in Sholazar Basin leveling during Lich King, I Was over in the 36.0, 30.0 area, one of Loque’nahak spawn areas, well that day it was there and killed me I had no chance of taming at that level I was at, 8 months later I found Loque’nahak again was able to tame it, So I have a special fondness for this spirit beast in game and pretty much only use it.

Yeah, it was removed at the start of BfA.

Fenryr forever

Well, it depends…

If I’m in open world content where I want the pet to handle some agg then I’m using my Quilen, Quincy.

If I am running straight up DPS and I don’t mind people yelling “Dude, that thing’s too big!” then I’m running Oondasta, nicknamed Tiny.

And if I want two pets out and going old school I just run a pair of Hatis.
