I say break it. Did the original devs actually want players to just spam one key that perfectly executes multiple abilities allowing a player to be able to top the dps charts?
Seems counterintuitive to the fact that more abilities were added in the first place.

mages are 1 button…locks are 1 button…warriors do 1 button macros for dps. Sounds like you might be jelly

Can someone paste the hunter one button macro here? I’ve never seen it.
I was under the impression the macro no longer worked with the new client. I could be wrong.
If it does work leave it alone I say.
I heard this too and I want to believe it.
I’ve been told it works just not to 100%. Occasionally clips autoshot.
Yeah because no other class has macros they use to simplify their rotations.
It is fine, leave it alone if it still works.
All rotations should be as complex as a mage raiding Molten Core.

Isn’t the macro made to cast a single abaility in between auto shots?
You can add in other abilities, but yes, it was mainly used so you didn’t clip auto shots. Macro below, with ## being the weapon speed.
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/run UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/castsequence reset=### Steady Shot, !Auto Shot
/use [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show()
Ok cool. OP made it sound like this single macro is a hunter specific thing when it is, what seems to be, a cast sequence macro that any class could make use of like an arms warrior being slam spec. Is that correct?
It relied on spell batching at the time, but yea, its a cast sequence macro.
So nothing to write home about then. Gotcha. Just another case of a forum goer finding something to complain about it seems.

It also fires off Kill Command.
I see no issue with the macro.
There are plenty of macros that fire off multiple abilities.
The bigger impact of the macro is probably the timer to avoid clipping your auto shot, not that it’s all been condensed to a single button(which as has been pointed out, many classes are 1-2 button rotations in TBC).
