Hunter Megathread SV/BM/MM

competitive dps i mean raid bosses, raid boss is not a aoe fight even if it was BM sustain aoe is better, i would love to see a SV with equal gear outdps me i would really love to

does anyone have any ideias on the legendaries? not just to do more dps, i mean to be viable. atm i dont feel like it is

Hunter legendaries don’t bring half the creativity or punch as other classes. They are pretty sad.

Echo of Eonar > This should be a effect that apply every time a covenant skill is used, for any NF with the same legendary

Judgment of the Arbiter > improve the damage

Maw Rattle > remove the on kill. make it a proc, amp up the damage

Norgannon’s Sagacity >generate stacks by standing still insted of casting, 10 stacks, drop a stack for every sec moving (could be 5/5 too)

Call of the Wild > in addition to cd reduction, increase duration

Nesingwary’s Trapping Apparatus > in addition all traps have 2 stacks

Soulforge Embers > in addition tar trap have 100% increase size

Craven Strategem > Remove ALL negative effects and create a shield for 3% health per dot/debuff removed

Those 4 are for all classes I believe. The current legendary are already boring, let’s not modify a common legendary and make it BIS for everyone. A meta where Judgement of the Arbiter is BIS would be the most bland and boring meta we could get.

you are correct sir those are all classes, those are covenant legendaries, i dont believe in meta, i think “meta” is the reason blizzard fail to balance the game to this day, rivers dont follow a straight path dont try to control the follow, just assist, the changes i proposed are not based in making that boring or meta op, i intended to give them a fighting change with each legendary doing more, not just bigger numbers,

echo - that would required ppl from the same covenant to time their cds to keep up longer, better coordination more damage. overall

judgement - close to a meme right now, but has some real potential maybe more dps maybe a arc to each kyrian ?

maw rattle - i think this legendary has 0 crafts…seriously

norgannon - far from op, but offers freedom and utility, i would consider using this in pvp as a MM and cast aimed shots walking like a boss for burst

remember dont try only to desconstruct ideas, expose yourself give some of your own, im not saying my ideas are great i just want to read more ideas maybe get to a common goal with enough voices so we can be heard…

If you play the game at a descent level, meta is a thing and you can’t do anything about it. If you try and play hunter with Call of the Wild legendary for a non meta example you will be playing on your own. The choices you make in your character development are impacting your performance and your entire raid performance.
Therefor people will gravitate towards whatever is stronger and if multiple options have similar strength the notion of choice and fun will appear.

Except if the balance was flawless (which is pretty much impossible) the choices are always limited

for MM: go back to MoP
for BM: go back to MoP
for SV: go back to MoP

the way you described meta is a simulation of what is more optimal for damage, since there is only on viable path, if you have multiple choice but only one is effective do you really have multiple?

MM in WOD was pretty fun as well. I like the current iteration of BM but would like them to fix the 35 percent bug. When I play BM I want to maximize the amount of pets I can have out that all contribute to my over all DPS. I would love them to revert stampede back to summoning from your stable. It should feel like army of the dammed accept with my awesome pet collection lol. I would also like them to give survival its own unique burst cool down. Using stampede is awesome but I would love something along the dots munitions expert flavor! Something like acid rain where you fire an exploding arrow of poison that applies SS to all targets. If it only hits one target it does extra damage. Or something like explosive trap with a dmg increaser on solo targets! I would also love them to remove the focus cost from precise shots during the true shot window for MM. That would be really cool. And I think would make current MM way more fun and rewarding. I like the big burst nature of the class and would love to keep that flavor. It would also be a nice quality of life improvement to increase the re-charge rate for aimed shot.

I kinda like aspect of the wild every 45-60 seconds tho in 2s.

Maybe for PVP it’s descent. I wouldn’t know, stopped trying to play PVP after a Ret hit me for 28k with one spell.

Isn’t Aspect of the Wild a 2 min CD ? So with 35% CDR goes down to 1min18s CD ?

You could potentially reduce it further with the conduit and Born to be Wild. But if you pick BTBW then you give up binding shot

Aspect of the Wild would need to be a more meaningful CD for that build to work better in PVP. You would also have cheetah and turtle on lower CDs though.

Oh yeah I see the Ferocious Appetite conduit for a 2s off your CD for each kill command. However, Born to be Wild doesn’t work on Aspect of the wild. It’s only for Tutle and Cheeta

You are absolutely correct lol. I must be tired, not sure why I thought it was for some reason.

Talents should be taking care of this.
Talents are for making possible a spec that SHINES in one area or another, and a solid foundation saves the spec from becoming less than able in the areas left “stock”.

what i meant was, if everyone is using only one build, that means there is a meta, that means the other ones are not on par to be interesting, on classic you can have many builds and be raid ready, you can choose a proc and roll the dice and maybe dor more damage in a fight or, just go for solid damage, you can have defensive cds or not, ress pet faster or not

when you make all baseline you remove the option of a choice, since they made this lazyass 3 talent options when only 1 in each line is really good, choice has been a ilusion…

We seem to be the class of choice for their grand experiment on Balance with borrowed power items.

Legion and BFA were the forerunners for this system Legion had the added pain of the items we needed being RNG drop controlled
BFA was a time investment first gear farming for certain set item traits and then the cape grind for Corruption immunity to get stats to make the traits perform
