Do any other hunters have issues where there MD goes off on the intended target, but no threat gets transferred?
MD is working just fine to me.
In what circumstances is it failing in? Ive noticed if you try it mid fight to MD adds to tanks sometimes the healers are pumping too hard and you need to remove salv and get closer to the adds to generate enough threat to peel them.
Never experienced this and I main hunter and use MD religiously. Like the above comment stated- try getting closer the mobs/really pumping hard. Your threat still jeeds to be high for MD to pull mid fight so drop trap, volley, bomb, and be close. Some ppl refuse to believe it but the closer you are to a mob- the higher your threat.
If you md a target then he mounts i think it negates MD as you cannot md a mounted target. Havent tested this since tbcc though.
I know there’s an addon a hunter in our guild uses that says threat transferred whenever he uses MD. My advice would be to first use this addon, and see whether it feels like it’s lining up. MD can be a little weird where you use it and then accidentally auto shot or something and your MD triggers but you don’t make much use of it.
My thoughts anyway, we haven’t had any issues.
Nova Raid Companion does that, it’s super useful.
You can’t use MD on someone that’s mounted, it’s not even “going off”. If you MD then mount, MD gets canceled completely. So maybe that’s what going on with OP? It tend to happen on bosses we reset and are allowed to mount (Sarth comes to mind).
