Looking for some tips on the rotation/burst for BM and survival. I hear that survival is harder to play is this true? Any tips would be great thanks

Survival: when you alternate Mongoose Bites with Kill Commands, it’s usually best to not go more than 2 globals without casting a MBite. Provided that you have enough Focus, just spam MBite as much as you can after it has reached 5 stacks. SV is harder to play than BM.
I made the switch to SV about two weeks ago, and it’s harder to play well than BM is. Survival is the superior pvp spec.
The things that make it harder are maximizing your Mongoose Bite damage, having to harpoon to the healer to get Muzzle off in time, and knowing when you should be DPSing from range instead of remaining in melee. Trust me when I say the damage you can do at range is not insignificant and you should try to time it to soft CC large bursts from melee classes.
With BM, the difficult part is maintaining your pet. At the lower brackets people will just ignore the pet but around 1600 they will apply dots to it and cleave it as much as possible. Maintain your Mend Pet. Maintain LoS. Try to force defensive CDs before popping your big burst. Don’t just run in and pop everything right away.
Lastly, actively use Feign Death. It’s basically a soft interrupt. Someone casting Greater Pyro or Chaos Bolt? Start moving toward pillar. Feign Death. LoS the next cast attempt.

In 2s all hunter specs are viable, but survival > bm > marks.
In 3s it’s SURV >>> BM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Marks.
Both BM and SURV are glad viable, but if you want to push R1, it’s going to be a very, very rough road. There’s probably only a handful of hunters capable of doing it this season since the meta is so bad.

I can give you some tips on how I’ve made BM work this season, I haven’t had the chance to do much 3’s other than LFG but elite 2.4 with Rdru was simple. Peep my armory to see my gear and build

And get dc’d every 4th game lol I really wanted to play DH but man is that aids, also to OP ide really suggest learning SV it seems a lot better. I struggled gettin to 1800 as BM switched to SV and got up to 2k fairly fast. BM can be done but its even harder to get ques because people only wanna play with the OP specs for every class just like frost vs fire mage.

How do you get the basilisk to connect to a Target … Thing seems way to slow
I honestly think the only way is to kite them towards it, and then use as many slows, roots as you can to keep them there. Someone somewhere might have a method to the madness.
I replied ^ right there, but I got to wondering… does it do that much damage when it is in range of it’s target? I’ve used it before and it didn’t seem to do very much.
Seems like it spawns right near them sometimes and other times so far away it never even comes close to them
