The crafted bow existing makes the engineering pattern useless, if the difference isn’t that important then just making the bow the same speed as literally every other ranged weapon in the game shouldn’t be a big deal.

Who cares? The crafted bow is easily accessible by anyone.

I don’t care if the LW bow or engineering gun is better. Makes no difference. And certainly not worth complaining about.
I think it’s worth complaining about. Lots of people wasted 2 sparks crafting the gun not knowing the bow is better. Lots of Engineers finding no demand at all for one of their rare drop recipes. There’s no real reason for the disparity to exist.
No, because again you’re missing the entire point. The Rasz bow is broken and far more powerful than intended. You just sound like someone who is an Engineer and you’re salty that the LW bow is better. The Rasz bow will still be better. The LW bow isn’t OP and there is absolutely no reason to nerf it to make sad little Engineers happy.
The LW bow isn’t a 15% DPS increase over the Eng gun. So get out my mentions.

If people are either too stupid or too lazy to look at literally any guide for Hunters to see that the Bow is better has absolutely no right to complain. The Rasz bow was legit broken and far more powerful than intended. The LW bow is not.

The reason is that it’s the only crafted item in the game that obsoletes another crafted item. It’s also the only crafted weapon in DF with a unique speed. It’s an obvious oversight.
I suppose that is what the forums are for.
And that’s their fault for not taking 30 seconds to look at a wowhead class guide.
Profession come and go in popularity from expansion to expansion, patch to patch. Engineering will survive. And if it absolutely game breaking to you, you can always unlearn engineering and pick up LW.
It’s not gamebreaking. But neither would changing the speed of the bow be.
It’s the only example in the game of a non-embellished crafted item being objectively better than any other item the same level.
And the only reason for them to waste time on this would be to make salty engineers happy? It’s not worth their time. If it ain’t game breaking, with all the other things that should be addressed in this game, it’s fine as is.
How long do you think it would take to change a value from 2.6 to 3.0?

About as long as it takes them to buff an underperforming class.
If your only options are crafted weapons…
- Slower Engi gun is better for MM. Harder hitting abilities that scale with weapon damage.
- Faster LW bow is better for BM. More Auto Shots means more Wild Call procs.
The existence of the LW bow does not negate the existence of the Engi gun. Both are negated by the existence of Neltharax.

Incorrect.
Nothing scales with weapon damage. Only attack power. Faster speed means more lock and load procs for MM. The bow is better than the gun for both specs.
Says who? Engineers who had their feelings hurt because a different crafted item is slightly better? The Rasz bow is legit broken, doing far more damage than intended because it’s increasing pet DPS when it shouldn’t. The DPS difference between the Eng gun and LW bow is no where near as significant and the LW bow isn’t broken or doing more damage than intended.
So go cry to your fellow Engineers and get out of the Hunter forums. But stop demanding an item be nerfed because the profession you chose is unable to make an item that equals it. The speed of the crafted bow only matters really to BM because of our Wild Call procs. Which is still RNG. But the DPS difference, as small as it is, is even smaller for MM. So it’s not OP, it’s NOT broken like the Rasz bow.

Everything else is identical gear. Raidbots sims show them very close, but yes BotDH is ahead by about .5-1% on my sims.
