Even full bis is probably not enough to reach 300 crits, the scaling isn’t as crazy as ppl think.
All the pics and numbers are from world buffed pets with +25 spellpower. It goes crazy with the modifiers.
Btw congratz on you gear, even after 8 full clears I was still unable to get a leather helmet or pearl.

It might be true that the pet has to have world buff and that causes some crazy scaling issue, hopefully we can agree that is a bug.
at 16 with boon it was critting for over 150 and hitting normally for over 100 with LB.
Without boon at 21 right now it does like 90ish normal and 140 crits
Edit: out of like 350k damage in my dmg meter (which encompasses a few levels) it average at 92 and crit for 152 (about 1500 total LB casts)

I’m confident that it’s not. 300 isn’t obtainable without external modifiers.
Oh interesting, that might explain it, I’m mostly raid logging now and have the BFD buff pretty much perpetually booned. I’ll have to check it out in some WPvP later today. I raid with a slow cat so don’t think I’ve seen a LB with the WB up on my character.
Thanks, I got lucky with my guild, joined a pally-centric guild and we clear it every lockout and there wasn’t a lot of loot comp when I first started with them. Also, I run with the same people so fewer and fewer people are rolling on the pearl. I did get it pretty early in the chain though.

I wouldn’t say it’s a bug but I agree that it’s an issue. It’s way more powerful than gear.

I’ve been playing BM for pvp every year for the past 19, including classic. It’s always been viable and fun.
No one cares what you do bro.
BM is worse than the other 2 PVP specs.

I think a lot of folks are overreacting to hunter pets in PvP in P1. Yes they are strong but plenty of counters exist to deal with it.
In P2… There are no counters and cats specifically get insanely powerful skills for AB.
Imagine a cat coming out of stealth, stunning you, and being immune to cc. If you try to run away it gets a speed steroid on top of its passive speed buff.
It’s not a pvp spec in Vanilla because the pet is mostly weak and useless and an enraged weakling pet is no threat. Now in SoD, the pet scales so…skills like Beastial Wrath will be pretty good at 40.
