Mythic SOD. 95th Percentile. Hunters all 3 specs at the bottom half.
A month have passed and no efforts spent on any form of spec tuning. What’s going on?

So those stats are incredibly misleading, particularly in mythic where people switch classes based on fights. My guess is a lot of CE guilds are getting into latter half where perhaps hunters don’t perform as well so people are switching to higher performing specs. It doesn’t mean hunters are bad, it just means they aren’t necessarily as good at a few fights.

Wasn’t a hunter top damage on the world first kill? Obviously a lot is different from hat to the rest of us gear wise etc but I don’t think they would be that bad after being top damage on the same fight week 1.

Yeah the problem with hunter is bad scaling.
At the start , aka mythic first kill they were okay but now they are bottom of ya le
wowhead kept telling me survival was top tier.
are you telling me survival isn’t top tier?

I heard something (correct me if I’m wrong) that hunters require Sylvanas’s Bow to get up to the top ratings in DPS, which I find is a bit stupid if it is the case.

This is what I think too, but I have yet to see it drop. I think we also need the cloak/quiver. Haven’t seen that drop either

Even with the bow they are bottom half though
Without the bow you’d probably be fighting tanks
Nah, my dps is decent without the bow, but it’s nowhere near the top dps in my raid.

Partly why some of the world’s top hunters like Gingi switched classes
A pure DPS spec that have all 3 playable specs right smack at bottom.
Survival by the way is the worst melee class in a tier where melee is actually very strong .

A lot of specs require certain weapons to do the best (fist from painsmith, dagger from sylv, etc) the issue with the bow is once you get it, you can’t get it again to trade and it can’t come from vault so it’s even rarer.

i say on u they swap there class bc dont have a intefrity ! probly gonna swap on horde to alans to if it is convanente for then . . how bout DONT ! i dont trustit pepole that do it , is bad to quit if hard is the pont of do a WOW gamw get chalangears

i got syl bow and i feel like i do…ok.
as others said, other classes can just out dps hunters atm. also that hunters are a jack of all trades type class and not a pure dps (we can heal, tank {pets}, stealth, kick, slow, lust, etc)
it also matters what your doing. some raid bosses are more “dodge x, go to y” then pure damage

on the flip side to that, if you havent got the bow you will get it first no matter the difficulty. so it dosnt matter if you do a n or a h, if you havent got the bow it will drop first. if you get it in h or m then then you need to farm the same fight next week for a shot at the upgrade.
on the flip side you could get all 3 bow drops (bow and upgrades) in a week if you do n,h then m. wonder if that’s even possible.

Wowhead class and spec info is usually fire and forget from PTR.
For DPS I go with warcraft logs leader boards on damage.
When you have a damage, specific boss, and spec selected you get nice top 100 player break down at the top that is usually much more helpful than guides.
