If you really want us to use steady shot why don’t just buff cobra strike? The only reason I use steady shot that did less dmg than a auto attack was because it’s a “spell”

After playing 2 ABs and 1 WSG match, I can confidently say that instant aimed shot is not practical and should be disregarded entirely for the PVP conversation. I got maybe three instant AS and I was actively trying to test this for over an hour. In most pvp situations, you just have to move, there’s no way around it.
The 15% buff to chimera shot is good, but its still the same end result. If I crit you’re in for a bad time. if I don’t crit, the damage buff isn’t noticeable.

Lone Wolf, Chim Shot, Master Marksman, Trap Launcher, Lock n Load, etc.There are hunters who are much more geared than me, I’m not shelling out money for expensive enchants or anything. I’m only comparing to what I felt like yesterday, and its not much different. Will have to test more, but yeah, this feels reasonable and no more OP than marks was before.

Every fight in ST demands movement.
PvP isn’t about standing still for prolonged period of times.
Sniper Training is absolute garbage design, always has been, and anyone defending it either doesn’t play hunter or wouldn’t actually care to see it gone.

I’m hoping that Warlock is getting the “get buffed” stick soon but good on WoW for actually looking at Hunters, Spriests, and Paladins. All 3 of those classes did need some buffs.

Maybe they should change warlock’s demonic whatever spell damage buff the same treatment, lose spell damage whenever you have to move. That sounds like a fun and engaging mechanic to give warlocks.

Not even remotely close to the same thing and it would be a waste of time to explain to a gaslighter like you why standing still for 6 seconds straight and remain still is different from having to cast a 2.5s spell to DPS.

immolate rank 1 (to set up conflag; rank 1 to minimize mana costs cuz it’s getting eaten immediately)
conflag (to proc backdraft; this is an instant cast but GL forcing it to line up with forced movement)
immolate current rank (hey look we’re actually doing meaningful damage now)
chaos bolt (hey look more meaningful damage)

Your chaos bolt isn’t going to be doing less damage because you strafed for 0.5s out of the sleep cloud on Eranikus.

Imagine if your optimal DPS was to spam Soulfire and only soulfire, WITHOUT the talent. Have that and then we’ll be able to talk.

adds 4 entirely useless buffs that will never be used for runes that are bad mechanics for sod pve
buffs the most hated but required rune exactly in the way in which it is most hated
what a complete cluster… log off your shamans and spriests and at least try to play hunter please or ret paladin for that matter. ret needs the most love.
Best part of this is how they changed said rune from having to wait the full 6 seconds to get any benefit to stacking over time because no one likes this rune. Only to now make it so that you need the full 6 seconds again to get the benefit of this change.
the spell itself won’t do less damage but i’ll still have less dps because i have to move
like every single time a movement mechanic hits halfway through one of my casts, i have to start that cast over and lose both the time spent moving AND the windup time spent on the interrupted cast
also it’d be very silly if my optimal dps was to spam soulfire, considering it has a 1 minute cd
maybe you should’ve proposed spamming shadow bolt instead
