Chromosthesia is a very intriguing perception phenomena. Some of the research going on with dementia is actually studying the -hows- sound creates synapse response in the brain. Music and smells are being explored with great success in therapies to at least reduce the speed of cognitive decline in some folks. Chromosthesia might be a latent perception we all have, but never notice. Sounds may trigger a branching activation for all of us - but most humans associate it with mood rather than specific color. Many individuals definitely show increased positive affect when presented with pleasant music. But who doesn’t love a good jam, right?!
Moral of the story. Keep making music AND baking delicious pies. The druidic keys to longevity. You heard them here first.
