I am having an issue with my lvl 70 Human that I’ve had since the launch of wow. I’ve recently started playing again (I logged in once or twice at the beggining of DF) however, the human heritage armor quest isnt working. I opted for the character gear upgrade (unfortunately without googling, screwed my void elf heritage on another toon). But reading everywhere it says this does not matter.
Yes, I am exalted with SW. Yes, I’ve went to shaw, nothing. Went to where Renger is, nothing, he isn’t even there. Tried buying a SW tabard, hearthing back to valdrakken then going back to SW, and checking the two npc, nothing. Went to the gates, in and out to try to populate the quest, nope. There is nothing in item or mail restoration on what I could have accidentally thrown out. I’ve read every third party site about this but yet, still frustrated and out of guidance.
Also, are they planning to fix others being screwed out of heritage due to character gear update?

If it is still being an issue for you, then you need to submit a ticket. The initial issue was fixed a bit back. As recently as nine days ago one of our SFAs said to submit a ticket for anyone still having issues.
Now, please be aware that ticket times right now are high. Most normal game issues are averaging about a 4 day response time. You will likely get an automated/templated response initially - please do not be discouraged. Just hit the button to the tune of “I still need help” and it’ll kick back into the queue for a GM to assist you with this. Please do make note that the issue began with your use of the gear update, just so they know that’s potentially a hang up still.

The overall issue was fixed shortly after if was reported happening, within hours. It took some time to fix those who had already been impacted by the bug but once the original issue was resolved the gear upgrade no longer prevented folks from acquiring their heritage armor.
Keep in mind also, Humans were never impacted by that bug. The Core Races are not required to level up as that race like the Allied Races are.
In your case, the reason you are unable to pick up “An Urgent Matter” is because you already did. You completed the first three quests in the Heritage Armor quest line some time ago. You need to pick up the fourth, Rotten Old Memories from Vanessa VanCleef, who is waiting for you in the basement of the inn in Goldshire.
