Human Customization Thread

Well, in humans, to have some hairs you have to have some faces, and have to have some skin colors.

I guess they tried to be realistic, and ended up being racist.

No, I don’t think that was the case at all

I recall Blizzard saying in the past that during patches for Vanilla and Burning Crusade, they’d accidentally left out certain customizations and skin tones. Then a few years later, there were a few patches (around Cata or so), where several skin tones and hairstyles were accidentally thrown out of whack.

Blizz said they’d revisit the issues when they could it right, and do humans actual justice. I applaud what they’ve done with customizations in Shadowlands, I just want them to really lean into it now.

I do hope they unlink those particular items and allow those hair colors to be used and vice versa with the older stuff.

And that they separate scars. >.>

It is not to think it is the case.

When you create a human character, some Hairstyles only work with some faces, and some faces only work with some skin colors.

It is not a “thought”, it is the way the game is right now. Go there and go passing though hair styles after having chosen multiple faces and you will see. If you change to a certain hair, it automatically change to a given face or skin color if it isnt already. Specially in the females.

I see what you’re saying now, and I do agree: they need to unlink faces and customizations, just as Fenelon mentioned above. Racial features may be locked because their game engine is simply too old, which would suck. Who knows if Blizzard will ever shoot straight with us? Until they do, all we can keep making our demands and suggestions

Having said that, feel free to share any suggestions you’d like to see!

Will do, and thank you my friend

He’s absolutely one of my favorite rogue depictions. Dude has a dope cut, is combat ready, looks agile and strong, and still stylish.

Also, LOVE your entries, holy crap the details on these ladies!

the first one is organic, like you’d expect her to be a shaman or at the very least an herbalist and mystic. my favorite part are her leggings and shoes.

the second one could be even a bit stockier. shoulders and hair are my favorite parts. she looks like grace jones.

now the last one, there are some cool ideas on her gear. tattered cloth, sharp protusions, like she’s protected by bits of trees and thorns.
best parts, the leggings, hair, feathers and the bicep armor. that is spectacular.

She was such a great party member. Fierce, loyal, an open teacher to the little noble girl and the rest of the party. Not to mention she was backed up by the Terminator and Aku from Samurai Jack

Seriously though, excellent warrior woman example. I’m pretty sure they modeled Diana from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon after her (whom I’ve secretly posted earlier in this thread, 'cause I love her too  )

one thing they neeeeed thats technically already in game is the cultists skin as an option lik so many cult of the damned, twilight’s hammer, etc have

Yea the Whole Buff and Big Model Build of the Humans right now is not what most people want for their own characters. They wanted something different like the Skinny Human Model in Kul’tiras. I think having that model would be great for like Mages, Warlocks, Priests, Rogues and just etc types for fantasy elements of the human.

It makes sense for something like a paladin or warrior, a skinny guy with armor and a giant sword is kinda silly but the only available model is deff not optimal for wizards and rogues.

Still mad we didn’t get skinny kt bc of karens.

I hear they’ve completed some additions for that Community Project. If I had the time to devote to it, I wouldn’t have minded signing up. My voice would be more customization, class identity, professions and RP centered, so I doubt I’d be heard over the raid, pvp and M+ crowd.

What do you mean? I don’t recall anything on people rejecting the skinny models. Truth be told, I personally didn’t like the model itself, honestly. I want skinny figures, and the one they’ve designed should be an option, but I wouldn’t want it to be the only option. It was more emaciated than simply skinny.

I kind of hate that the main difference between Kul Tirans and standard Humans, is that Kul Tirans are ‘big’. Major meh, and a missed opportunity. Kul Tirans should be the ‘mystically’ distinctive Humans; they should have elemental and mystic alterations to their appearance due to their approach to the supernatural and natural world.
