I suggest reading the TOS. The only thing you’re guaranteed with the sub payment is the access to the server.
I mean using abilities in less ideal rotations ect
You pay for the privilege of having access to the servers the game is on. Nothing more. What you do on those servers is up to you and the amount of effort you put in. This is literally how every hobby works, you don’t win a National tennis tournament because you bought a racquet and bag, you need to train and practice and play hundreds of matches.
This is understandable, I am also a holder of Mad World achievement and have a few of the Legion Mage Towers under my belt.
What I see as some of the issue is there are those who are asking for the better rewards are also saying they would not mind the harder content or a long grind or something, yet a lot of people boil it down to “mythic gear for trivial content”
One thing I question is what the issue of gear made for the solo content, to allow people to push farther into it (when it is not something like the Mage Tower but more like visions) dropping in said content is? Like a lot say they wish Torghast had provided gear , maybe if it did, topics like this would not exist.
Really, what is wrong with good solo content being put in for people to do, mage tower like things can be the challenges and visions/torghats deals can be the path for gearing after the world content has been done but one does not want to, or for some reason can’t, devote themselves to high level group content?
You think it would have anything to do with their lack of Mad World and complaining about 5 mask being too hard, or the complaints they had about Korthia’s Archivist 28 days for Rank 6 chief ?
Because methinks they complain everytime something is hard or long.
I see “too hard/too long” complaints as code for at least one of the following:
- I can’t AFK my way to the loot
- I can’t get it when i want it, and I want it NOW
- I can’t Leroy it and come out the other side unscathed with the loot
- There is no real measurable way or stopgaps that provide that dopamine rush to keep me going, this is the one that is most easy to handle, if one so desires.
I somewhat agree here, lacking things like Mad World could just mean they were not playing during that time, however what I tend to see is more
Person A: give us content that is worth the rewards we are after
Said content is released
Person A: thank you, this is fun
Person B: whaaaa, this content is too hard/takes too long, nerf it
content gets nerfed
Persona A: WTF, the content is now worthless/unfun
Person B: I am not getting the rewards I want, buff them
The whole group gets lumped in with person B in this case, when topics like this cold easily be made by those closer to person A in desire and goals.
I dont have it because i hated having to grind the currency for days, just to fail it, and then have to grind the currency for days again to get a second attempt.
It got really annoying really fast.
I see it as proving Merpish right.
Most “open world” (noticed they changed from casual when it was shown that M+ was casual ?) players don’t actually want to play the game. They want to zone out tag a mob and let others zerg it while they reap big ilvl rewards.
I have some 250k banked currency on my Warrior.
You had 6 attempts per week early season.
It’s really important to remember that Person B is an extremely vocal minority that is primarily present here in GD. The vast, vast majority of players who play wow do not have issues with it’s current reward structure. Their loud feedback tends to be far more harmful to both their enjoyment and the rest oft he playerbase. But the squeaky wheel gets the oil.
No you dont. This person is just a M+ troll, and a Blizz knight. Thats why right now, they are going from muted, to ignore.
They can pad their post count all they want, i wont have to see it anymore!
True, but why lump the person As that come here and state their desires or wishes in with the Bs? That is what gets me.
You still mad I proved you wrong on the whole 28 days for Rank 6 archivist uh ? You never got back to me on that, you know, the pesky whole “It’s impossible yet this guy has the achievements for it” bit.
I’m far from a “blizz knight” if you even bothered to read any of my posts.
Thats a lot more than i remember so i just googled and it looks like you could afford 3 a week
I genuinely think that limited weekly attempts for solo content is bad. As far as I’m concerned it’s fine if someone wants to put in 300 attempts into a 5 mask or a mage tower challenge before the complete it. Honestly I kinda view it as admirable.
I would have gladly kept trying until i improved and got it right.
It was a very frustrating patch for me XD
Maybe with having solo content drop what it takes for those attempts? So people don’t have to farm out in the world for it?
If all you did was the assaults and got the vessel + 21k visions.
The first week gave you 3 free from the opening quest line. Then you also had the “Mini vision” that awarded an extra 2k + 1k per day after visions, for a total of 8k more visions.
Also, starting the very 2nd week the content was out, they added more Coalescing Visions to the daily quests in each mini assault zone. You could get an almost full extra 20k that way if you did it with the mini-visions.
So almost 5 total per week + the initial 3 for doing the quest line if you did everything. Your google was incomplete, here :
I don’t even think you should have to have a currency or key to do this kinda stuff. The reason visions did is because there was power locked behind doing them in the form of sockets. If this content doesn’t have power, or if the power is largely irrelevant for non-solo players then there doesn’t really need to be anything locking you out.
So how about removing the currency after you got cloak to max rank? There was still the gear and sockets, but the gear was on a diminished return system anyway and a fair chance you got the best gear or a good portion of the sockets, or better, in the drive for the cloak anyway.
To prevent mass socket farming. He just told you.
What’s wrong with some failure being possible ? You had close to 5 attempts per week, only needed the 1 for cloak. If you managed to clear your gear goals and cloak early, you could bank the extra attemps for the next week too, no need to spend them all at once.
