Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

Have what to do with anything that was said exactly ?

Also, level 58 Classic priests don’t raid.

Especially when they are still in the dark portal pass gear.

…Why wouldn’t you do LFR or regular raiding?

I mean unless the loot system is worse than it is atm, which is a rando-lottery that 9/10 times favors the house (IE: No one getting anything) it sounds like raiding is the way to gear up again as it should be.

Real question is if we’re finally done with all of Sylvanas’ exposition.

I didn’t even bother with raiding this expansion because the premises and Sylvanas overload (had enough of it in BFA and prior) was enough to make me want to rip my eyes out. I muted her every single time she showed up because the story involving her was so implausible and it made everything else in BFA better.

We can thank the gashead that green lit the War of Thorns for that also.

Do you seriously only have one account?

Yes, why would I spend money on useless things like extra accounts ?

couple hundo isn’t money … in my land.
I give the grand kid that every time he comes over.

Sure, when spent on my Ducati it ain’t.

When spent on a game that plays well for 15/month ? Why would I spend more. Pretty sure my kid would prefer if I bought him some extra games on Xbox instead.

While there are indeed ones that want this, to act like everyone who wants a path for better gear from solo content, even solo content exclusively, wants it is where the argument falls flat.

I have capped it at heroic gear in my suggestions, I have put it behind long grinds, likely with enough points of progress where people can at least feel they are progressing. I have put in ideas using things already in game, like Torghast, as the solo progression path.

The fix for solo/world content to provide a path to better gear needs to have the following set up:

  1. it takes longer then running raids or M+ to gear up, so as not to even appear on the radar of the raiders and M+ runners
  2. if not out in the world, it needs to be a form that can scale based on gear and/or group size
  3. anyone that says it is “too hard” (outside tuning issues) or takes too long needs to shut up

I mean I still hold out hope that crafting will be the path to high level gear for those that don’t raid, PvP or run M+ but for me to see that as a success I’d have to see no less then mid tier normal available from crafting with world mats only, and I can keep an eye on it as I run at least 12 toons, but only really try to do above LFR on 3 of them.

Only thing I can figure is you never play any and you just spend money on accounts because you keep getting banned. Maybe instead of starting new accounts, you might want to finish leveling 1 toon.

I already explained I used them for boosting toons. $60 for a boost vs $20 for an expansion … that’s why you can’t use the expansion boost on anything but the copy of wow that bought it now.

So you pay to not play the game. Over and Over again.

Kinda what I’ve been saying.

I had 360 days played in vanilla on one character alone … lol

hands are cold.

Then you would know that solo gear wasn’t really a thing back then. You had some items from crafting/reputations, but we are getting that in DF also. If you wanted the good stuff, you did both raid and PvP.

I’m not a solo player. I told you that. My wife is. Some of my kids are.

I’m not threatened by anything. Bad game design is bad game design. Especially if it’s catering to entitled players asking the game to change.

what do u even need the gear for if you’re just doing outside content? serious question tho , what’s the difference between having full mythic gear and lfr gear if you’re literally not doing mythic dungeons/raids etc that requires you to do certain amount of dps/heals to beat the bosses and so , im curious .

Since when is getting things in a video game … about needing them. It’s a kids game. The thing we need out of it, is entertainment.

Gear entertains them. So what. It does the same for you.
