Add a Class Change service to the Barber shop too. And make every dungeon/raid group be a bunch of NPCs able to finish the fight while we do nothing, so we can see the story.
âclass change serviceââŚthatâs an interesting idea!
(add all-races/all-clases to that)
amusing they feel so threatened by anyone wanting any scrap of gear, they come out in force and try to beat everyone down. As if the forums were mortal combat.
When really, the game sold out their achievements with the token long ago. Any working stiff can just buy what you have an be about their merry way.
you know whatâŚbring the mission table backâŚbut its the whole game. I just want to watch the story of DF and collect free gear
Iâm sorry to inform you but many people are asking for just that. One ex hardcore player turned busy dad with 11 kids and 2 jobs asked that he be able to grind out mRaid gear an hour at a time.
Can you name a singe type of WQ reward in BC or WotLK that does not live on in SL? Because I played the crap out of those expacs and I canât. Players were content with that because they didnât know any better. There was nothing like the vault or spammable M+ and wow saw peak pops at that time.
The issue isnt that guilds canât clear Normal. The issue is that if trivial WQs give gear comparable to normal raids, raid participation will drop and that will directly affect the social and group nature of the game. I donât want to risk that to satisfy solo players, it would be like saying that an FPS should not only allow a gameplay mode with turn based tactical RPG shooter elements but give that gameplay mode the same rewards as the ones given to its core audience.
that doesnât make any sense. Time and time again the game has been nerfed to cater to casuals. Talent trees were removed in MoP because casusals were confused. Then reforging was removed. Then garrisons allowed an army of alts to replace a friendâs circle. In Legion and BFA, trivial WQs gave such good gear that crafting professions were redundant. If Blizz listened only to raiders, why would they take Master Loot out of the game when no one was asking for it?
How is it that WQ casuals will only be satisfied by more gear but for every other gameplay mode Blizz should just spam the magic âMaKe BeTTARâ button? I got Loremaster in LK within a day or so of them releasing achievements because I love quests and did every single quest in the game for fun. Quest design, writing and mechanics have never been as good as they are in SL and all this is casual open world content. And yet, WQ players seem to be satisfied only with raid-comparable gear.
If we look at the millions of Classic players who detest retail, Iâd argue that its pursuit of the casual user has caused retailâs population to decline. If Blizz wanted to retain the players who are currently enjoying Classic LK, do you think they should make the game more casual or less?
Cata heroics were gutted and yes they were harder than WotLK because LK âheroicsâ are a freakin joke of spam AoE infinite mana and boosted tank threat.
No, Cata was a lackluster expansion and way less compelling than LK with no new capital city, only 5 levels to cap, a massive effort devoted to changing the old world and not towards 80 to 85 content and the Wrath babies couldnât faceroll the dungeons as they had gotten used to and for all those reasons they left.
They left because garrisons, CRZ and phasing gutted the social game, RP, WPVP and server culture. Iâd been subbed from early BC but I and many of my friends quit in WoD for those reasons and didnât come back until we heard that Legion had made some improvements.
By ensuring that a core principle of wow in its peak days is maintained, namely that the best gear be given from challenging group content (with a few exceptions), no one is forcing players to raid or leave. On the contrary, with the explosion of open world content beginning from the Timeless Isle, casuals have been catered to as never before. There have never been as many things for casuals to do as there are now in wow and the truth is that many are happy doing those things. Its just that some casuals want what they donât need and have never been able to have (mRaid gear) and are threatening to quit.
Youâve framed the argument in such a way that you can just reply to any known path that new players have taken and can take by saying âah those are just exceptionsâ or âNew players are less smart than thatâ because truth is that all a new player has to âdoâ is to accept any of the guild invites they get spammed with until they find a guild that will walk them through the initial learning curve and carry them through low key instances.
your strawman new player seems to not only be completely crippled in their ability to ask trade chat for help, ask forums for help or even put in âhow to get start with mythic+ in wowâ into youtube, but also be so cowardly that they canât even post their +2 in premade groups (which will almost always end up with them getting carried by valor farmers). Do they need help moving the mouse?
Remember the howls of elitism in Legion when Blizz broke the addon that allowed people to fly to a WQ location, hit a button and afk while people below them downed the mobs?
Comparing nutrition and gustation (which affects no one else but you) to rewards structure in an MMO isnât absurd at all.
recall the tears that flowed for pre-nerf Oondasta
Hilarious given that a few short posts earlier you were talking confidently about the experience of A Novice Player to WoW â˘.
Scrap the PC client, requires expensive computers which means itâs less inclusive to poorer people.
Make the game entirely playable through SMS.
Yep, but really, no they want to play the game. They just look like theyâre asking for ways to AFK through it. But thatâs just our lying eyes.
solid gold.
Oh god.
The solo haters are building strawmen of their own strawmen now.
Its just embarrassing to see at this point
maybe join a guild join a raid team progress and get that better gear. WQ gear is only meant as a stepping stone not something that should be the end goal of your xpac expierence
def not, but go off xD
I have the Mad World achievement good sir, I love solo play.
Actually scrap the pc, and sms versionâŚsome people donât like playing games on their phone, just make it a board game that is given out for free with free real life gear sets with mythic tier bonuses on them
no one is hating on solo contentâŚwe are just mesmerized that people who want to exclusively do solo content expect mythic raid level gear for doing it
Itâs all Sword Art Onlineâs fault.
Everyone wants to be Kirito. Soloing their way to having 10 girlfriends.
avg age of wow players is something like 32. So i have to assume that was some early 00 garbage.
Best era
Who even watched the SF anime ?
Like tell me you donât even know what anime is without telling me.
Sort of like you just told us you were 12⌠ok tiktok boy. akira, fist of the north star, iâll take the 80âs /90âs stuff all day, every day.
Oh the insult.
Iâm 43 if youâre really that interested. Not that Iâm gonna date you.
psh, i see you makin eyes.
Iâm older. nnaaaa
that this thread, and all the other ones similar to it end up being the same 6, or 7 people ranting back, and forth repeating the same stuff over, and over again
