Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

Objectively nonsense.

Can you prove otherwise? I gave you a chance to state what, from your point of view, those who focus on gear would have if WoW pulled a stadia. You refused to engage with it. I answered your question, silly as it was.

But then you are just a classic alt, so likely afraid of posting on your main, which makes your opinion as worthless as a 3 dollar bill that was hit by the spit.

Ya, never had a 3 dollar bill before, but I have hundreds of 2 dollar bills.

2 dollar bills are legal tender, 3 dollar bills are not if it is not legal tender, what is it worth?

What is the original claim that spawned this argument, and who made it? Link below.

What’s really funny is that I have the OP on ignore so I don’t even know what the gripe in this thread is.

Ooo, brewa and capslock. You two kiddos enjoy school?

“World gear not high ilvl enough”.

It’s heroic dungeon ilvl now. I mentioned it was a waste of dev time.

Well, it seems to be about the nerfs world content gear has been getting on beta for an expansion that has been being pushed as having a lesser gear curve between world content and mythic raiding or with more alternate paths for gearing. If anything, I’d wonder if some of it is due to raiders complaining about being forced to do world content to keep their positions.

I’d also stipulate that if the world content did not get nerfed in beta, we might not hear from the OP but someone else would be making the “gear is not high enough” complaint.

Maybe all we really need is the ability to fill most, if not all, slots via world boss gear, even if that took multiple world bosses.

No one really needs to play.
Progression is the only thing MMOs have. Without a path to progressing within ones preferred playstyle, theres no reason to keep subbing.

What nerfs? Expansion isn’t even out yet.

Seems to be a thread about people who don’t understand “in development”, then.

Think the issue with Torghast on Beta only with gear ilvl being adjusted with no clue on if the content is also being nerfed.

Like at one point, world content, at least the invasions, were providing normal raid geat, then it got nerfed to LFR and now it seems to have been nerfed to heroic dungeon.

People who are going to get their undies in a twist over development changes should do themselves a favor and avoid beta/ptr entirely.

thing is, the OP may not be on the beta/PTR, the complaint was based on

This was an entertaining conversation to say the least

Casual/solo players be like:

“It’s an avocado… thanks!” :avocado:

Counterpoint: they want you to get the 392 (same relative value as live) crafted gear.

That’s not really a hard and fast rule. You can earn 252 iLvl gear by something as easy as looting treasure chests in Zereth Mortis and fighting off avians, which is the same as entry-level bosses for Mythic SoD (non-Fated), and much high than Mythic CN bosses, which are going to require more coordination and skill.

iLvl rewards are arbitrarily set by WoW devs each season. Yes, as a general rule, easier content should have lower iLvl rewards, but open world content is not simply a lower difficulty version of raiding. There is no easy or hard version of the open world, so letting it cap at Normal iLvl would be a fair compromise because it falls into its own category and solo and casual players have no other option in DF.

Normal raid iLvl is basically the starting point for hardcore players each season, as the previous season’s Mythic raid iLvl is equivalent to the current season’s Normal. Letting open world players end their progression where the hardcore players started is not that insane of a concept in a subscription-based, seasonal MMO.

I admitted no such thing.

I only said that lower levels of M+ should be queue-able, and naturally there would have to be nerfs to mechanics or bonuses for solo queue-ers.

If you are really reading my posts, you will understand that I don’t want to do M+ in the first place, but think it needs to be kept in the best state possible for players because it is helping to keep this game alive.

The difference between me and you is that you want to destroy my content for no other reason than to make yourself feel better by comparison, but I see the value in your content and think WoW devs need to make the right decisions.

If you don’t want solo and casual players invading and messing up your precious M+ hamster wheel by inflating fail stats and encouraging WoW devs to nerf it, you should be advocating for us to have our own endgame so that we stay out of yours.
