Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

Yes, thank you. There are a few more examples of this in SL, such as the “Money Order” mechanic in the Tazavesh Mailroom that needs to be stacked. If I recall correctly, it looks more like an upwards swirly than a meteor circle.

What I mean is just getting the same piece of gear with just slightly better stats is just crappy. Would love more cool cosmetics from endgame then just 5 different variations of the same gear. After MoP I stopped raiding because doing the harder stuff is just pointless when there is no good carrot anymore. Was not talking to the OP either.

Normal raid iLvl, or else open world gearing will have been nerfed for 2 expansions in a row and 3 patches in a row.

Even the pre-patch event is slated to award last season’s Normal raid iLvl and not the current season’s Normal.

Yes. Not all LFR players are geared, skilled, motivated, or knowledgeable about mechanics. And that’s fine. Being casual needs to be allowed.

The dungeon journal literally tells you the fight like I don’t know…

Damage dealer (you do this and that)

Healer (do this and that)

Tank (do this and that)

It’s like a answer key to a math quiz or exam.

There’s arguably more cosmetic variety in gear now than in the past, it’s just not from 1 source.

Gear progression is to keep you interested in the game and to continue to subscribe. The final raid boss in an expansion shouldnt drop gear at all, because you dont need it to defeat him and there is nothing difficult after him. So you dont NEED anything he drops.

World content gear should scale up to mythic fine heroic raid ilvl at maximum upgrade level (and require months of content to get to) but be nerfed to lfr ilvl when using it in instanced content

= gear progression for open world players to do open world wquests and legacy transmog farming and be OP + doesn’t force endgame pillar players into doing open world content for competitive placeholder gear

How does this interact with warmode?

Conquest gear loses to pve gear in warmode so idc lol

Ion said conquest gear will not have its pvp scale up enabled in warmode

I’m sure the whole 15 players in Warmode won’t mind much, and if they do they can always turn it off at a nearby inn when they get beaten. Or queue for BGs/Arena.

You can’t be forced to care for anything, and you can’t be forced to do something. Isn’t that something you tell people?

That sounds like a very dumb design. o.O

I’m not taking a stake either way, as I think this would be a good placebo for OP while not forcing me to care about the system unless I want the mog.

I am sure the stockholders of actiblizz/MS will understand when they hear that the stupid players wouldnt do as they were told and wandered off and cancelled their subs. They will be much better off with the much lower earnings expectations anyway!
Blizzard has to keep and maybe win back some of those “filthy Casuals” that they seem to like to drive off. It is a business after all, one that Ion doesnt seem good at.

Its because starter conquest gear that anyone can get from random bgs will scale to 424 ilvl, so they don’t want people using free conquest gear to trivialize content in warmode (or something along those lines)

So, let em get this straight. They don’t want people to “trivialize” the oh so important world content yet they want to make the rewards for that content subpar.

Yeah, it still makes no sense.

It’d be kinda wild that week 2 of the expansion everyone is running around with a 424 conquest weapon in warmode lol

Oh so he still doesn’t get it.

Apparently some player don’t want just normal gear from open world tho…

Given that they weren’t happy with normal raid gear falling from the sky about 6 weeks into a patch…
