Huge gold buying ban wave just hit

In that month you could make thousands of gold.

Who cares about 900g lol, the epic mount you get now will make you gold if you’re a miner or herber

I find your posts intriguing given the fact you admitted to buying gold in original Classic.

There’s a warrior in the guild I’m playing in, he had Epic mount, lions heart helm, krol blade, devils saur set, all instantly and was spending 30g per run boosting an alt. And had over 2k gold in his bags. “I didn’t buy gold”. We all LOL at him, but more surprised he has dodged a suspension.

Apparently all you have to do to avoid getting banned for gold buying is to use the auction house. Blizz really does a bare minimum effort with policing RMT.

All the mega sweats that never farm and raid log do.
The old PVP ranking system was loaded with RMTs for the same reason(Sweaty non-farmers who feel entitled to 300 FAPs for their 8 hr PVP grind).

Lots of people buy “just enough” to get their level 40 mount.

Some people have lives and would rather buy it then spend all day farming.

Farming any gold is dogpoo on a donkey

The first thing you should buy if you plan on making gold is a ferrari

I wouldn’t be anywhere close to the stock im at on a wheelchair

It’s cheating to buy it on Era and Anniversary.

There is an entire discoord of people who buy gold and talk. No bans in there yet. That warrior probably uses a burner account.

I mean I get this, blizzard does to. They understand so well that they sell their own gold but do not want you buying it unless you buy from them.

Your point? That was 5 years ago in the first iteration of classic with packed servers on one layer and lotus not at its current state.

you had a server of 8,000 people and at most 96 lotus per day being produced per server if they were picked the milisecond they spawned.

Things were incredibly expensive.

now the game is laughably cheap in comparison… you can actually just play the game and afford consumes easily.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

This.
Also combined with trashing that account’s entire amount of gold.

Flasks were 350g in 2020.

They are 50g right now.

Thats a massive difference… its not my fault 2019 was botched… they started with 3 servers, then added what… 25 more over the next few days… but the main 3 were the main ones… then had unlimited free xfers, then unlimited paid xfers…

Now there is no excuse.

Yeah, keep trying to convince yourself. Gold buyers are losers who can’t cope and always will be.

Were you born this dense?

I think gold buyers should be banned, but thinking that buying gold has any relationship to anything IRL is a sign you should take a break from the internet and be in the world a little more

Rules are rules, and there’s no point in having a rule against buying gold if you aren’t going to enforce it. Having said that, it becomes harder to argue that gold buying is an abomination and betrayal of the spirit of the game when gold buying is completely legal on WoW’s flagship product (retail), so long as you are paying Blizzard for it via the WoW Token.

Blizzard to retail gold buyer: thanks for your business!

Blizzard to Classic gold buyer: you monster! Enjoy your ban!

Maybe one day Blizz will get smart ban these guys across all Blizz platforms as well as hardware ban them. I would wager your average middle age gold buying warrior does not know how to get around a hardware ban…POOF

100G lotus within a day or two at this rate

Raiding is pretty much not an option unless you play with a group that doesn’t require consumes, buy gold, play this game like a job, or sell boosts.

As someone who likes to farm in the open world I don’t really get that option at these prices, and will just have to start selling boosts.

2-4 hours a week of farming gold is not an option, is that your take?

You have far too much time on your hand if you’re just sitting here looking at this thread waiting to reply to people. Go touch grass.
