It’s funny that they think a 2 week ban is going to detour a gold buyer - don’t they buy gold because they already can’t play the game enough? (ie most will just take the vacation and resume activities upon return)

I have 5 guildies who are banned right now for buying gold I can promise you they are absolutely not laughing.

Blizz has set the tone. I think we should expect another gold buyer banwave right before phase 3 drops. Imagine missing the first two weeks of BWL. Think this will deter people or nah?
A consumable is like 50 gold right now. Lets say you buy a flask a couple of elixirs, thats like a 100 gold. You raid three times a week, that’s 300 gold per week of farming. I mean, that’s not bad at all. You dont even need to have a profession.

Players on pvp servers tend to throw in pvp tax. They had to corpse walk a few times and now they pass those savings on to the customers!

Always amazes me how worked up people get on this subject.
In GW2, Arenanet just sells gold - it’s a totally normal part of the in-game shop. It hasn’t ruined the experience, and nobody gets their nips in a twist because it’s all on the up-and-up.
The fact the WoW never moved to that formula (other than the ludicrous tokens) is their own fault. One company recognized that this behavior is now endemic to MMORPGs, and the other still desperately grapples with the concept.

i used
4 rumsey rums (2gish)
2 arcane elixirs (the greater arcane elixirs were 6g so i skipped them) 2g
2 shadow powers - 4g80s
2 gfpps - 9g
1 boon - 11g
4 tender wolf steak - 24s
12 bandages - 70s
30g and i looted 9g back, so the entire run was -21g, idk what type of community u guys have joined where u need to spend 100gs of gold per run or the run is 8 hours long

Who cares? It doesn’t impact anyone else’s gameplay. I feel that most of these anti-gold buyers are jelly sitting on their ’ high moral throne’.

Kinda does… Better players play on pvp, better players use more consumes, and everyone thinks they are one of the really good players so they all crowd onto said server.
Also PvE is the only server with the HC influx, so ppl are getting mega farmed on HC with minimal raiding to do and bringing it all over on death

When I used to buy gold years ago I was super pro gdkp, but now I’m older and I enjoy playing legitimately I find gold buying cringe.
I would support GDKP but I know 95% of it is botted gold so it’s instantly ruined unfortunately.
Im willing to bet over 50% of my leather sales are rmt gold.
I dont care tho
