Is anyone else having issues with the save button for the HUD edit mode not saving?
I tried reloading and trying to save and it still didn’t save. I’ve also tried disabling my add-ons to see if that was interfering, but no luck there either. So currently I am unable to make any changes with the WoW HUD Edit mode. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, same issue. Edit mode seems pretty broken right now. Similarly disabled all of my addons and that didn’t fix anything. When I enabled lua error viewing, it’s all related to edit mode.
Lua string I saw after trying to move my chat and party frames:

Restarted game, etc.

I’m having the same problem, seems like an error with the script saving the UI, it’s having problems trying to find the name of the saved UI itself.

Same issue. All of the below attempts didn’t work:
- Disabled addons
- Deleted WTF and Cache
- Reinstalled Addons
- Deleted edit mode lua
- Used Blizzard’s repair tool
- Tried this on multiple characters and servers
It seems to be something on Blizzard’s side. Any other suggestions to try?

Having the problem here too, was going to work my way down a list similar to yours but I guess I’ll just cope as the changes I want to make aren’t too bad.
Same issue here… works on a trial account on the same pc so must be an issue with accounts that already had a ui saved whenever they created this bug
I am also getting this issue, and my UI is shared among other chars so I believe Stonie is correct.
Same thing here. The “Save” and “Save and Exit” buttons do nothing. Tried with no addon, create a new UI from scratch and got this bug halfway again. Something was triggered and was not able to save after that.
Just ran into this issue today as well. Nothing works.
Blizzard, care to fix this?
Same issue. It’s great because the server issues last night actually wiped out the saved profiles for some players, and the save bug prevents said players from fixing their UIs after the wipe, unless they had the foresight to export the text string prior to the wipe.

I was in a 5 man this morning moved my de buff icons down from my buff icons a little bit and it moved my party frame to the lower left corner now I can’t edit anything, and the save edit button won’t work can’t import can’t create new layout
Same issue here - very frustrating!
Posting here as well for visability.
After a ton of testing I found a small workaround. Only make very small changes then save often. sometimes it work others it gives you the lua error. when it errors revert and try again sometimes more then once then save.
if that doesn’t work for you try this as well. switch to modern ui template then modify it again slowly and save after every move.
Please get this addressed asap, my UI is unusable.
Edit: I found that if I deleted some of the other presets it allows me to edit one of them, but not others. I had to delete one preset 3 times from diff places in the preset list before it deleted, so something is messed up with how presets are stored.
I found that if you enable Raid Frames and Boss Frames, then you can Save. Do this, then /reload, then you should be able to edit your UI, but be sure to leave those two things enabled in Edit Mode until Blizzard has fixed this!

This was helpful. I noticed that any profile that had boss frames changed before, I still could not save. When I create a new profile and do not modify boss frames, but have them checked with raid frames I can edit everything else.
Edit: below worked…
However, I had to create a new profile. Still cannot save to the profile I had already created.

That…
actually worked. Amazing.
- Unchecked everything BUT Raid Frames and Boss Frames, and while in Edit Mode hit [Enter] for chat. Type /reload [Enter]
Then Edit and Save.
