This guy’s posts have got really tolerable lately.
I think his brain is slowly wrinkling.
Good for him.
Must be sun damage from where all the Covid-squatter hippies were finally thrown out.
Can you explain what any of this even means?
Come on dude don’t project on to me. That’s not nice.
How would you buff them?
I feel like buffing raw healing or defensives just adds minutes to the game, which is pretty much inherently bad if the game doesn’t specifically need that, which I don’t believe it at all does right now. So that leaves buffing their damage or CC to give them more capacity to assist in kills, but that seems like it could easily lead to further perception on the end of healers that damage is too high and CC on them is too high. It’s definitely how I would go about it, since it also increases the skill cap and raises the skill floor, but that would be my concern.
I guess keeping dps alive for 10 mins = fun? And the longer the better?
Yeah I dunno. You want enough time for cooldowns to cycle so it matters what you use and when and how well you’re synching things up and how efficient you’re being, but once the game moves past that point it’s just kind of excessive. It’s fine for games to sometimes last longer because everyone was super on-point with their defenses, or because they were all trash with their goes, but I don’t see it being helpful as the standard.
In shuffle at least I would probably add like 30 average seconds to each round, but not more. It feels like we had a super sweet spot for a while where you could properly prepare for your second huge go, and at the longest the rounds would be decided then, but now it feels like more often than not everyone is gassed by that point and it leads to that finale feeling kind of sloppy.
Though, this could be specific to Devastation due to the mana changes.
I kind of like that sloppy part. That’s where each decision matters so much more.
Maybe stop zug zugging and swap targets, then in practice the sac gets little to no value? I know this concept is hard for most to understand, but just because you start on a target doesn’t mean you need to (or should) stay on that target the whole game.
I’d rather have 2 charges of pain suppression tbh. 40% damage reduction (instead of 30%) with 2 charges instead of 1 (so more flexibility in using/can use back to back if needed), practically the same uses per minute (because of pws reducing the cooldown by 3 seconds per), can be used while stunned, and doesn’t redirect damage.
Again, bop can be removed by a lot of classes/specs, e.g., priests, hunters, dh, mages, warriors, shaman, etc. Bind purge to something and quickly realize how meh bop is in comparison to most defensive cds. It’s only even good against melee teams/when no one on the enemy team can remove it.
Arbitrarily name any 2 cds that any other healer has that they rotate through, and cry that it needs to end. LMFAO.
Next fried take please.
Pain supp on 45 second CD please.
XD
yeah thats what literally every player does. its not unique to hpal either, if i see pain supp on my target, i swap. if i see ironbark on my target, i swap. if i see ray of hope/guardian spirit on my target, i swap.
the problem with hpal is the frequency at which you can use your cds. most dps burst in 1-2 minute intervals. which perfectly allows you to sac a go target forcing a swap every single time.
if the player that the dps swap to is in any trouble then you can just bop them. and then you can cycle that an additional time 1 minute later.
its boring to play into and play against, its a dampener.
its really good into any team with physical damage, even i they have a purge. into rmp its a free kidney out, into ww/dk its a free sweep out. even if you delay a go for 2 or 3 globals, its a great button to press.
okay name any 2 healer cooldowns of any other healing spec in the game and i will tell you why yours are significantly better.
pain supp & dome?
link/ascendance?
also i didnt even account for players personal defensives.
youre a dampener buddy
Pallie are still disgusting and I dont want to hear from anyone that they arent
all 3 of my lobbies today were hpallies 6-0ing. and i’m 100% serious. the people who say theyre not busted are just trolling.
Nerf all heals down to disc status
its not about nerfing healers. i dont know who started this talking point or why. but its about 1 healer not being able to gap all other healers. the game shouldn’t be revolved around 1 class gaping every other class by miles.
give healers more damage to end you faster win win, this way the games ends fast like you like it and healers will enjoy the game
I think healer balance is good rn, shaman is being braught up and all the other specs are pretty much the same. EXCEPT disc priest ;( its dookiee.
yes except hpally.
It is, bad dps just don’t want to admit it or improve. I’d go as far as saying that hpal/preservation are both S tier, everyone one else other than disc is A or A+ tier, and disc is B tier. It hasn’t been this balanced among the healing specs at any other point in the expansion.
That’s why awc players will be mainly running preservation evokers from what I’m hearing. Makes sense.
My personal favorite is when a monk life cocoons someone at 70% and the other dps in the shuffle doeant swap off.
But the thing is Ret can do all the same things you’re talking about. So at what point did Hpal become problematic and not Ret? By this logic, wouldn’t Ret/Ret/Hpal or Ret/Aug/Hpal or something be able to damp anyone into submission?
