Hows Elden Ring?

How is it for anyone playing it? Is it hard or more like rage quit hard? I’ve seen people make some OP builds for it. Ha ha my post was restored. Maidenless flagger.

To me it’s great because I’m a bullheaded player. Dying and getting farmed doesn’t stop me from pushing past walls.

If you’re a player who can handle trial and error, which there’s plenty of, then I think it’s definitely a game worth checking out.

It’s Open World Dark Souls, really. I really wish From would put some emphasis on blocking and parrying instead of making people constantly rely on rolling over and over.

I heard there is some jerk named Malcom Renolds invading peoples games and he has found a way to softban people. That’s worrysome.

Hears husband saying, “no. No no. No no no no. nononononononono. NOOOOOOOOOO” in the background. Sounds like he’s having fun OP.

You can only be invaded as a solo player by choosing to be invadable with a certain item.

Different rules applies to group play.

For the game itself its ok. Playing it myself without any real class building I am struggling. Using a heavy mace and shield works but since I favor stacking armor that makes my rolls somewhat non-existent.

I’m beginning to think I may have to bow to the inevitable and respec into a proper class.

once you learn the ropes it gets easier.

i did not think id enjoy a souls game but this game is incredible. one of the best i have played. big open world too. so if you can’t beat a boss you can go do something else until you are ready

It’s hard but not rage quit hard. Very enjoyable.

they made a trailer showcasing blocking and parrying and its one of the core mechanics now if you want to break a boss stance. and charging hitting and jumping R2 attacks help too. more fluid. rolling over and over and tapping R1 is not the way imo

I love it, 10/10 game and should be game of the ear 2022 easily. I’ve beat every boss solo minus malenia(shes bs, had to mimic phase 2). Margit and the boss after were gold quality bosses…truly epic and really pushed you to either explore the map or just keep at it till you learned the moves.

So glad I didn’t coop my first playthrough and still haven’t.

So theres a item to have people invade and invade others? So…if you don’t have it they cant get you?

It’s hard I’m terrible at it lol.

Are invasions still around?

I’d like to play around and even do a little coop but the invasion mechanic has always turned me off completely.

EDIT: I see they are, sad.

That can happen even solo actually.

I bought it and returned it because i remembered i have never finished a from-soft game and this one is larger than all of them. Knew i wasn’t gonna get my money’s worth and decided to give it back to steam

It’s a very fun game to watch and many of my friends love to play it.

That said, if ragequit levels of hard (but NOT unfair; let’s make that painfully clear) are not your cup of tea, I wouldn’t recommend you play Elden Ring or any Souls-type game. It’s considered hard even by Souls games’ standards.

The greatest advice I can give is to go into these kinds of games blind. Isn’t the magic of an RPG discovering things on your own?

But also I won’t be playing the game until i get a ps5

It’s pretty fun. It’s basically just a spiritual successor to Dark Souls but with a massive open world and a ton of bosses.
