How WOW can spin no 9.3

Its safe to assume we aren’t getting 9.3. 9.2 will be in March or April. How WOW can spin no 9.3?

Ion gotta announce a major new evergreen system like player-housing or revamp Class Hall to soften the blow of a short expansion.

When they cut and run in WoD. They made Legion epic crammed with loads of content and they added Mythic Plus.

I don’t think it is safe to assume anything of the sort, tbh.

Agreed. MY magic 8 ball said, “ask again later.” So his is a dirty liar.

Or they simply just release 9.2 and wrap up the story months later… then 9.2.5 many months later so we have mini content droughts and 9.3 may never need to be spoken of.

They can solve this with the inclusion of these two things:

  • Dyeable Armor
  • Character Customization Sliders, especially Butt, Bulge, and Chest sliders

Of course, if they touch any of the skimpy transmogs, then nothing will save WoW.

I want to be a tiny gnome with a BIG butt!

Wild will be 50% butt if I can help it.

Uhhh…

Recolors exist?

I feel like I’m missing something.

They will appeal to our common decency and understanding that they were too busy making bowls of fruit.

Yes, you are.

I’m talking about the dying system present in many other MMOs. Recolors are a poor substitute which don’t offer anything close to the level of customization dyeable armors bring. Recolors also enable laziness in the dev team as they consider recolors to be compelling rewards instead of creating new armor models. which is why each patch has such a limited amount of new armor models.

There’s no reason to think there won’t be a 9.3. We can still assume it’s going to happen until proven otherwise.

And 9.2 will more likely release in January or February. Again no sign we know of that it’ll be a spring release, which is insanely late by any standard. I’d imagine they’d want to get it out before Blizzcon so then they can take about the future without worry of spoilers.

SL has run into issues delaying the first patches, it sucked. But still it’s not a reason to think we’re repeating WoD. Ion even said they’re not going to do that mess up again.

I wouldn’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

T&E just did a video speculating this. leaking to friendly influencers is how they begin to announce these things. Prep them to expect the hammer before dropping it.

Pretty sure they speculated there would be no 8.3 in BfA. Spoiler: There was an 8.3.

I can show you mine, can you show me yours?

I didn’t say they didn’t say 9.3 was cancelled, I said pretty much every streamer said there was going to be no 8.3 either… and they were wrong.

But no, I don’t really care if they did or didn’t. I will still wait to see what Blizzard says since the speculators are wrong not infrequently.

Other MMOs are not using a 20+ year old engine for their base and are limited by the nature of the way they make armor skins.

Thing is recolors are something to farm…instead of real content you can farm recolors!

Adding dyes would force Blizz to start making real content again ^^

The difference being that in that video they were arguing why there would be an 8.3 despite others peoples speculations instead of speculating there wont be an 8.3.

well not to be a buzzkill, but EQ’s engine is from 1997 and it has dyes to recolor your armor…

they can spin it easy. next expansion will not be overbloated with broken systems and no crappy launch it will be ready.
