How would YOU have written Sylvanas' defeat?

And as I stated above, she was going to do literally the same thing to Jaina’s brother without even flinching. How the Hell can she sit there and condemn the Jailer for doing something she did not even an entire expansion ago?

She hasn’t been tactical or intelligent since Legion. She’s been given everything without her even trying, and now they’re trying to show she had a conscious. It’s…it’s not deserved, and it wasn’t earned…

I’d have Sylvanas die in the most demeaning way imaginable. Like maybe drown in a toilet bowl. While cleaning it.

When the Jailor reaches into the portal, rather than pull out Sylvanas’ soul, he pulls out Arthas!!!

Arthas comes over with a reforeged frostmourne and shoves it into Sylvanas’ (beautiful shapely) chest and says, “ouch sucks to be you huh? (laughing manically)”

then after her corpse falls and the rest of her soul gets sucked into frostmourne 2.0 the jailor says, “go get me a beer whench!” and rezes her corpse and she obeys unquestioningly and brings Zovaal a nice frosty tall can.

I would have had Tyrande’s big entrance be during the fight, essentially putting her in the role Maiev had when we faced Illidan, saving the raid and other NPCs from a moment where it looks like Sylvanas will win and helping the raid overcome her. Perhaps splitting Sylvanas into two fights, like spine/madness of deathwing, with Sylvanas retreating at the end of the first round when Tyrande shows up, then facing us again in uber-banshee form.

When the fight is over, Sylvanas is defeated and calls out to Zovaal for aid, he just laughs and says she played her part, and her idea of free will has no place in the universe he plans to create. She realizes she’s been played the whole time, she gave up everything, is hated by everyone, and has betrayed every ideal she ever claimed to stand for…for nothing. Sylvanas despairs and attempts to flee, and that’s when Tyrande does the arcane comet thing to catch her…but in my version, doesn’t randomly lose her powers after 10 seconds, and takes Sylvanas’ head, then collapses from the night warrior power overloading her.

Just punishment at the hand of the person most aggrieved.

Zovaal should have killed everyone there, except Bolvar and Sylvanas; he should have left them mortally wounded but alive. Then the two of them witness Zovaal’s troops slaughter all of Oribos, but most importantly, destroy ALL portals back to Azeroth.

Then they see Zovaal take a huge number of his troops to the last portal to Azeroth, and shutting it behind them. Bolvar and Sylvanas live long enough to tell the players what took place, then they die. We can help clean up the afterlife, but getting home is going to take a LONG time.

The implication being, we’ll eventually be able to get back, but due to the Shadowlands’ makeup, we won’t be able to arrive for several thousands of years.

Zovaal gets a technical win, reality (as we know it) is bent to his whim and even if we beat him, we’re still in a new Azeroth that’s been under his heel for millennia…and his death left a power vacuum for all of his left behind minions. 10.0 WoW Redux. You’re welcome, Blizz!

I would have done everything the same except the end of the cinematic. When my queen lost consciousness, my arms would have been there to gently catch her soul-restored, undead body. I would lift her up with both arms, throw her on the back of my flying mount, fly away to the Undercity, and restore the ruins together. We would live happily ever after.

I prefer “I will never server… another”. Those words would have held more weight in my opinion.

“I was doing this for the good of everyone!”

Thrall kicks her in the clam.

Her dying but getting to see the Jailer abandon her right beforehand.

It’d never happen, but would be funny if they do detain her and try to make nice but Tyrande rolls in and just kills her but other than that no consequence for us as we move to battle the Jailer.

I wouldn’t, I would’ve dropped her storyline a long time ago.

I care little if she dies or not, I only wanted to see her humiliated, she has not done much to me other than depriving me of short-time fun during the previous expansion.

I don’t know, but for a second did anyone else think the Jailer was about to pull Nathanos out of that rift? I did and it’s the only way this could have been more disappointing.

I’m not sure… I’ve seen a lot of trash fan stories.

Personally I think it isn’t as bad as what everyone is saying.
Red Eyes Sylvanas was a soulless, merciless, cold, calculating killer.
Blue Eyes Sylvanas is now going to have to deal with the horrors she committed
since she now appears to have her soul back (and all the emotions that come with having
a soul).
It’s no worse than the writing done during the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the Character: Angel/Angelus.
I don’t see it as a redemption for her… more like a eternal torment.

I agree 100%. That’s also better than the derpy statement she made.

Remove the part where Bolvar and Sylvanas tell the heroes (us) what happened…
and instead have The Jailer reanimate the fallen Heroes, enslave their wills, and send us forward into Azeroth to reap more souls for him. Azeroth… will… burn.

We should have beaten her until she’s down to a sliver of life.

Have her call out to the Jailer for more power. Have him show up and deny her, saying he has what he needs and she is no more use to him.

Bolvar then brings the hammer down on her head.

Done and done.

Same story continues, but she’s finally dead and gone and we can all move past her.

Really I think they should have had her go all in on what she stood for and when she was defeated (killed) she would suffer an agonizing defeat with her enraged at the heroes for not understanding her vision of what a perfect would could have been.

I don’t have the hatred a lot of people seem to have for her, I just think that ending would have fit her. Not this doubt at the last second crap she started having.

Still a possibility… Bolvar is right there with his hammer…

Easy. Shes mortally wounded after we kick the ever loving crap outta her, she crawls toward the jailer because shes trying not to die. Jailer goes lol you dumby, here is your soul back. You find out taht the only reason she did all this was because she was trying to save her own soul from going to the maw. Shes still evil, but shes a tragic villain. She dies and because there is no longer an arbiter her soul ends up lost to the shadowlands and forced to wander it for eternity, not damned but not redeemed either. She got her wish of not going to the maw, but not the way she wanted it.

First, the pieces had to be set in place and a certain dragon will replace her in the upcoming battle, smiling as she sets it into motion. In the Darkness, she hatched a plan for revenge on the Jailor for her fallen lover. With care, she crafted an arrow to poison and weaken the Jailor. An arrow made to be broken and infect him with the bone of Nathanos . The next step is to get the silly champions to go along with her plan.

Still possessing the dagger she found a way to empower it once again. This will be the key to fix this broken system. A system of lies, disguised heroes, and injustice. Yes, they will see what I have seen in the Jailor and covenants evil plots.

After the battle and the Leaders approached the fallen Sylvanas black mist pours out of her body. Sylvanas the dragon will reveal itself and was armed with Xal’atath. This time no one will save them for their destiney.

Smiley smugly as the jailor thought he had her under his thumb. The fool thinks that he can outsmart the general. Now armed with legions of Valkeyer on her side. Death no longer has a hold of her. Her half soul being contained and no longer have a hold on her. Yes, today is the day. Now my forsaken you see what true power is, as long as you did your part. My queen, we have the report on the ones who betrayed you. Good, good
