No thank you. If you want to play a silly bard, go to FFXIV.
Bad idea.
Look, the idea of more support specs is fantastic.
But it’s an extraordinarily bad idea to remove existing specs!
Look at the Hunters. Blizzard outright removed a whole spec (ranged SV) for another spec (melee SV). They’re two different identities… and the Hunter playerbase has been utterly fractured since then.
(Blizzard also removed DK’s ability to tank in all 3 specs but that only existed for 2 years so the backlash wasn’t as big. But there was still backlash.)
To remove a DPS spec from classes that have existed since Vanilla? Bad idea.
Learn from the melee SV mess, y’all.
But adding support specs? (Either as a 3rd spec to DH, or a 4th spec to the other classes.) Oh yeah!
I played combat rogue for 10 years, one day they simply changed the existing spec…so I guess youre wrong.
Learn what? Some people liked ranged survival, some like melee survival now. Id call that a wash if it werent for the fact that adding a melee spec provides hunters with 2 roles it can now fill and actually has variety…unlike rogues who have 3 specs that can only fill the melee dps role.
Totally against it, even if I didn’t main a Demo Warlock, as changing the roll of spec people have mastered and/or enjoy playing would be a totally …messed up move!
Basically, players wouldn’t accept such changes any more than Enhance Shaman or Disc Priests being made into tanks.
If they want to add more support specs then they’ll either add new specs (like to DH or Shaman) or just create a new class altogether.
Enhancement should be about sitting back and buffing the party. It would be way more fun to play.
Definitely not.
