It looks like you need Expert Riding (60% flying mount) to buy Artisan (? speed Flying mount)
But will you need Journeyman (100% speed Ground mount) to buy either of those?
IE Should I hold off getting epic ground mounts now til then.
buy your epic mount now and you will automatically get epic riding in TBC
You’ll get the journayman riding skill ONLY if you have an epic mount bind in your inventory
also you can have a friend trade you another race mount like a tiger for example and since they become BoP in TBC you will learn it and not need the rep for that race exalted
So (not counting rep / rank 3) you save about 400g per character by waiting? (given what 150 riding costs in TBC) ?
From what I’ve seen it saves money to wait yes.
100% ground 665g with mount
60% flying 900g with mount
210% flying 6000g with mount
I know you need to train Expert Riding (flying, 225) before Artisan Riding (epic Flying, 300).
But can you skip Journeyman? Ie if you have only a 60% ground mount now, and you wait til 70, can you train Flying?
No, you have to have the previous for the next.
It’s like training spell ranks, you can’t buy rank 3 before rank 2.
Thought so, just confirming for guildies who were waiting to jump from 60% now to epic flying
