Hey all, I’m trying to transfer to the one and only balanced PvP server… but I don’t see it in the character transfer list. Any tips? If it’s locked, will it ever unlock? Can I bribe Blizzard?

You just need to make a new character on Grob if you want to play on grob
Paid transfers should be available in either Era or Wrath. Wrath servers were transfer locked but are now opened. There are free transfers available in both Era and Wrath.
Free PVP Era transfers to Whitemane.
Free PVE Era transfers to Mankrik.

Is the character you want to move in Era and on PVE? You cannot move from PVE to PVP in Era so you’d have to reroll.
Same problem. Still have characters stranded on Whitemane.
Blizzard acting like they forgot we don’t like mega servers/layering.
Attempting to funnel everyone into mega servers is short sited.
At this point I don’t see how they keep consistently taking these wrong turns.
Started with pushing Classic servers to TBC instead of opening new TBC servers with the option to transfer. Could have still been gross and charged for cloning TO TBC.
Honestly that would have made more $$ and been more understandable and clear as to what was happening. If you weren’t active in the community at the time it wouldn’t have mattered as you could clone to TBC/WotLK from Era at any time and Era chars would still be on their Era servers.
But they didn’t want to hear that. Had to make it complicated.
Would avoided the current $^%& show and negative PR.
What a mess. And we can’t even give them it was for the $$ excuse.
