I haven’t found a way to add Stable Masters to the map or minimap. The main map seem a little buggy too as I see some icons, like flight master icons blinking in and out.
But as I’m flying all over the place to do pet battles, would be nice to know where the stable masters are.
Am I missing something simple?
Is this more of a bug or a feature?

Thanks for the reply. I’m curious if that scroll icon you see is from an addon.
Above my minimap, I see the bar, which shows location, for example; currently I’m in Org, so it says, “Orgrimmar”. On the right side of the bar is the World Map icon, but there’s nothing on the left side of that bar.
Nope, not an addon…it was there day one months ago. and technically speaking it’s not ON the minibar but hovering just below it…kind of a medium grey scroll thing…very tiny. I mean if all else fails just click the bar itself there, it’s the controls for the minimap.
OK, I found what you are talking about. The scroll (or binoculars) you are referencing is in Retail. So you are aware, that scroll is not in Classic. Instead, there’s a Minimap button in the Classic Mists interface that brings up the map tracking options.
That said, neither the tracking menu in Retail nor Classic Mists have the option to see Stable Masters.
And my apologies for any confusion. I should have mentioned it’s not in the tracker. So the question is more, “Since the Stable Master is not listed in the tracker, where you can select to see Trainers, Mailbox, Banker, etc., does anyone know a work around or addon to see the Stable Masters on the map & minimap?”
As an update, I found out how to find the Stable Master tracking option in Retail. There’s a Console Variable - minimapTrackingShowAll , that is defaulted to “0” (no). If you set it to “1”, then you see all the tracking options, some of which are hidden by default. When minimapTrackingShowAll is set to 1, we can see Stable Master under the Townfolk sub menu.
In Mists Classic, that Console Variable doesn’t exist, which seems OK, because the default is to show all, for example, we see the Townfolks submenu by default. But the problem is that Stable Masters is missing. So I’m guessing it’s a bug.
good to know, and sorry for adding to the confusion…I tend to scroll through all unread posts and sometimes miss that I’m in a different subcategory and I really ought to be more attentive.
I’m seeing it on multiple hunters in MoP Classic.
Townsfolk → Stable Master 
OK, that’s interesting. I can confirm that I see the Stable Master tracking option on my Hunter in Mists.
So looks like when Blizzard added the Battle Pet Healing to the Stable Masters, they forgot that only hunters can track the Stable Masters. Of course, they found out this oversight some time ago and fixed it in Retail so that all classes can track the Stable Master, but looks like they forgot this was a problem.
Fortunately they’ve empowered the community with the ability to create addons. I installed Pettracker yesterday and it has an option to track Stable Masters on the world map. It’s not as precise as the minimap, but at least you know where they are without having to go through Wowhead and it gets you to the general area.
