I just renewed my 1 year Subscription plan. I used a specific card that Gives me $250 cash back if I spend 500 in my first 90 days. I wanted this $155 sub fee to be part of that 500 so basically this years sub will turn out to be free. I do NOT want this card to be charged when its time for my next renewal. I went all over the web site there does seem to be an option to change my Payment Method?
I want to go back to using the card I have been using for the past 3years come my next renewal
When you manage your account, there should be a pause option, this will allow the change in card information.

So I cant update it until AFTER my sub runs out and the Pause has started

Do you know if I pause my sub that I will still qualify for yearly or 6 month sub mounts they add? Because I know if I cancel it I DONT which is why I am leaving it active as auto renew
It should not change your current subscription, but if you pull your card from your current wallet it will cancel it.
How much time do you have before your next billing? Could in theory just wait and change billing before then, just have to keep track of it.
Its so far away I 100% KNOW ill forget to change my card. It expires Jan 2026 
So I was going to set it up to “Pause” in Jan. When I get the email saying Im paused ill change my card. But Im scared if I “Pause it” I wont qualify for the yearly mounts next OCT or the 6 month sub mounts next Summer

So I know 100% just canceling will Disqualify me. But I dont know if Pausing will

If you’re only looking to change your payment method, you could go the roundabout way of removing the card from your payment methods.
You’ll have to pay real close attention from this point on. It’ll warn you that removing the card will cancel the subscription attached to it but will prompt a pop out to manage your subscription, first by asking if you want to update the sub plan you want and the next page your funding method.
Pay attention to the Game Details blurb at this point before confirming. It may be different for me since I’m on the 12-month, but if you’re on one of the lower tiers you may be charged up front on the new card to proceed. It will state if you’re being charged immediately or when your existing game time runs out.
I only tested this method through the mobile app, but it stands to reason it should be the same via web browser.
Yeah Guess I need to wait to hear from a Blue. If setting up my Sub to Pause in Jan 2026 will disqualify me for Future mounts. I CAN NOT cancel my sub. It WILL disqualify me for future sub related mounts

The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the upfront charge.
I just went through the steps myself to make sure it was still viable before posting it.
I do understand wanting to be cautious, however. But the system does allow the option.
tested it on on brothers account who does the “monthly” option. It 100% temporarily canceled his sub.
So not going this route since just just yesterday renewed my sub for another year. Id have to prepare for ANOTHER year on top of that year to Qualify for mounts.
Looks like pausing will be my only option. Ill wait to hear from a Blue to see if Pausing Disqualifies you. I doubt it will since it doesnt actually PAUSE until your renewal date
Interesting. Mildly concerning that that’s probably what might happen when your sub is on pause, as well.

I have a feeling thats WHY they added the PAUSE feature. By the wording on the Pause page it SOUNDS LIKE I will still qualify for new sub mounts as long as my account has NOT Paused yet

I don’t see a technical reason for there to be two different systems to accomplish the same outcome, so I’m wondering if the temporary cancelation you saw tonight is going to be the same when your sub is on pause.
But if it isn’t about changing your card in the grand scheme as I interpreted your first post, definitely hold off and see if there’s any insight an SFA might impart.
Says on the page Once Paused you can change you card as it restarts. The good news is when I do get Paused a year from now I will get an email telling my my sub has paused. AT that point I can change my card
Basically I cant do anything for a year. Once paused in a year I can change my card but this stops it from auto billing the same card Im using now.
I have already prepaid for a year. Sucks they wont let me simply change my card for my next payment 
I would honestly put in a purchase failure ticket asking a GM what the best route of action would be. But be very clear that you are not asking for a refund for any product that you are only wanting information.
