How to turn off gamepad mode?

I enabled it by typing
/console GamePadEnable 1

How do I undo it now?
Thanks!

You can usually disable a console command by using a 0 instead of the 1.

That isnt working for me. My hot bars still have the icons on them with numbers and letters in the corner. Like 1Ls, 1LsLt , 2Ls …

Thanks, Gadnuk. I’m checking it out. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Alright, so I found out that the console command with 0 does work but it does not revert your keybindings to what they were before you activated the Gamepad.

You’ll need to use:

/console GamePadEnable 0

Then click the reset to default in your keybindings.

Then enter:
/console reloadui

Hopefully, there will be future improvements, but for now that seems to be the way to go about it.

This sounds to me like you may lose custom keybindings if you had them before trying out controller mode. Something to be aware of, if true.

You may want to ask in the ui and macros forum if anyone knows of an addon to save/back up key bindings.

When I was searching around for a viable command I did see mention of a few.

I found this in New Player Help and Guides from a couple of weeks ago.

Guild to the new gamepad/controller support in 9.0.1!

Just figured out that after you use “/console GamePadEnable 0” it will still show the keybinds for the gamepad, but after entering the script and reloading if you go into your keybinds and unbind all the ones the gamepad keybinds it’ll revert back to your normal keybinding. hope this helps some who worry about losing their original keybinds as i was :).
