This entire guild is just a front for advertising a boosting service website and the Guild Message of the Day (which links said website and even provides a promo code) is spammed every 20 seconds or so. The guild mass invites people. Can’t seem to figure out how to report the guild (or its leader) for this activity (as the character isn’t actually talking, there is no report button for them available – and guild reports are for names only). This is actually the SECOND guild I’ve found doing this, so rather than simply leaving, I’d like to know how to actually report this?

Report them for spam. Or email hacks@blizzard.com with as much detail as you can the email isnt ideal but mite be your best option.
I would love to, but it just doesn’t show up in the right click menu for the character. It’s not an option. I know it SHOULD be there, but it is not. They have no chat history because they’re not typing. They’re just using the guild function to spam the message. If someone hasn’t spoken, the option isn’t there, probably to prevent people from being falsely mass reported. If I go physically find the character in person I can get a report option to appear but my only options are Inappropriate Name, Cheating, and Gameplay Sabotage. None of these apply.
edit: Oh well. I’ve decided to report them as Cheating > Botting and explained that its actually for spam and advertising but tbh that’s probably automated so… not entirely a false report.

The GM servicing the report will figure it out, because it sounds pretty obvious.
