It’s clear no one wants to be forced into PVP. It is shown by how nearly every server has segregated into only horde or alliance.
These changes should be implemented in WOW Classic to solve the PVP issues:
Rework BGs so NPCs don’t give much honor but HKs and objectives do. Make it a system where you have to cap and hold objectives instead of just rushing to kill end NPCs. Basically nerf DREK or KEK
Add a timer to avoid camping and turtles. When the timer ends the game ends. EZ
Arena is fine as is. Maybe add solo-queue?
Make world PVP opt-in via a war mode. It’s clear by the fact servers have largely segregated this is what people want. They don’t want to PVP unless they want to PVP. You should be able to opt-in to world PVP or join a BG or Arena to PVP
For world PVP, you shouldn’t be able to attack people more than ±3 levels from you and only people in this range give honor in open world. This would stop ganking lowbies and make honorable kills…more honorable (imagine that).
Make world PVP give bonuses to honor or XP so it is incentivized so people do it. There has to be a reason to want to do it besides camping lowbies for fun.
Make BGs and Arenas EASILY groupable cross-server

Wrong, there wouldn’t if objectives could be recaptured and not permanently destroyed.
You’d also need to allow spawns at any captured objective from the map (like in other games). Not hard to do.
Your points are almost all invalid or you don’t understand my changes. Nice try though. It seems you lack imagination to see how my ideas would work. You are stuck in a narrow view of how the game is right now.
You are also assuming organized teams constantly on each side. That is rarely the case. You can’t full queue a 40 man premade lul. That was fixed and will remain fixed.
Most BGs have to be reworked in multitude of ways.
AV
The objective of the BG is to gain territory on the map by burning enemy bunkers, killing bosses, and defending towers, but there is a huge penalty for defenders, yet an incentive for cheaters/AFKer to “defend.” If you lose, defenders get jack, but offense gets a lot more from HKs. If you win, defenders still get less than offense. It is always less honor to defend.
We need to be able to burn down buildings faster with a supply mission farther down the map. Once burned down, honor goes out, but also a debuff should suck the honor out of players that AFK in these completed zones. You’re in the military, you need to be AT a defending or offensive line.
Arathi Basin
Nodes should have +honor gains while near them. Roads should have a decrease in honor gains. The people that assist with the flag being capped should get an extra honor for the cap.
EoTS
Base nodes should give +honor aura. The flag itself should have increased honor aura for both faction, and capping should have increased honor gains. (I once capped a flag 10 times in a EoTS with 1 base and won, but the honor was nothing compared to those who just farmed HKs.
WSG
Flag and bases should have increased honor gains and not middle of the field.
This is a bad idea. To fix excessive ganking, or griefing a player, there needs to be a good ranking up system, and a down ranking penalty for Dishonorable killing of low level players. No one cares if you kill them once or twice, or even a third, but when you’re up there around 10-15, or killing all lowbies for hours straight (which did happen)…you’re dishonorable. Flip side is low level players could abuse this if they repeatedly kamikaze into wPVP AoE just to down rank people so another “wPVP event” trigger would have to be in place to safeguard abuse. (those would be the same scumbag players that enjoyed knowing they dispelled people’s world buffs in classic. something is wrong with those people)
Soloq would be the worst thing ever added.
2s/3s/5s queues are already dead enough once you reach certain rating and this would just make it 100x worse.

If you don’t want world pvp, play a PVE server -or go to retail. Level cap on who you can engage is for pansy’s.
Solo queue for Arena is probably the dummest idea of all time. It’s about team work and communication if you want to climb. The only benefit that would bring is fatter ladder for us who actual know how to arena, feeding off two strangers in text chat.
These are wishful casual suggestions, we will not condone changes to cater your lack of ability.

If you want casual “opt in” world pvp, go play retail or get over to a PVE server. I don’t want to let your garbage alts level so I get to kill them. Also an irrelevant change because of servers.
solo queue might be the dumbest thing you’ve said so far. Arena is about communication and practice, not two strangers getting slaughtered using text chat. This change would only help fatten the ladder for those of us who can arena.

Disagree. This isn’t original wow wotlk nor are the players the same. We grew up and got smarter and the other player base that didn’t get to play wotlk are trying it for the first time.
I played original, and there were tons of mechanics just to gate access to extend your sub that shouldn’t have made it into classic since it is actually a whole new beast.
Also, Blizz didn’t replicate server populations and we got mega hub servers. They’re all PVE now. Why are you ok with this change but not others to correct or make it work?

Agreed, remove all honor from npcs, and frankly remove all exp gain from bgs too, it was a terrible design decision in OG wow when they did it and its terrible now, like faction/race change is as well.

Fixing world pvp is simple, dont let megaservers form in the first place, no more than 1 extra layer ever, for anything.
NOPE, although killing a max level player in a low level zone should give massive bonuses and cash rewards, a bounty system to reward counter-killing gankers, with diminishing returns to avoid abuse though.
Otherwise, bad idea.

PvPs biggest problem, is PvPers, a bunch of mediocre skilled, min-maxing, meta slaves who deliberately abuse all game mechanics and systems without a single care for how it might affect others gameplay. Many of these school-shooter tier sociopaths are a blight upon the game world and frankly outside of arena blizzard made a huge mistake ever listening to any of them.
There is no classic +. Mark my words and save this reply for the future when the announcement comes. There will be a legacy Wrath Server just like they did for Vanilla classic and then Cata will release.
