touch people with a story, make them feel sorry/love for something in that story, they will wish to obtain what you made as center of attention at any cost.
glory to “invincible” people will buy insane amount of tokens to obtain it through Gdkp’s xD
Note: Blizzard also put invincible on retail blackmarket it’s an auction house where it’s blizzard adding rare items/mounts in there, so people buy tokens to get the million gold required for those items ><
you mean been +year
i’m always against RMT and i truly believe that RealMoneyTrades are mostly based on gdkp’s/ticket runs, but tbh i shouldn’t even mention that anymore since blizzard is already selling tokens.
you could still obtain it if you’re in a guild who’s gonna arm hc LK, but i believe many people won’t bother to put time/effort being in guild if they can swipe their cc and obtain it.
i mean i see on StaX faerlina discord people are buying any raid achievement this days, looks like no one want to play they just want to obtain.
yup you’re right, but still gdkp’s promoted more rmt, but what i say won’t change anything anyway! people love buying/selling/trading gold for w/e that benefits them.
You could join a guild and have a shot at it, yes. You’d have a much better chance at it in a GDKP with tons of gold bought through WoW tokens. The players who can’t afford the tokens have no such advantage.
with all the respect to you but could you enlighten me how can a casual or recently new player makes gold with current economy & situation?
he’ll be competing vs bots if farming, vs bots if using ah or vs No lifers spamming gdkp on multi characters, so how can he/she makes gold then?
i think the best option would be! use the skill at which you’re better at, to Make money in real life and buy tokens, that’s the fastest and secured method.
while you have a good point in there, here is a question for you “do you think people who’s getting something would want you to get same thing”? ofc no! because even in games selfish people exist, and abusers exist!
-selfish would die before they allow the system to give everyone fair chance for everything! “i mean look how certain people hate on rdf if they can form their own groups within community/guild/friends which then won’t let rdf effect them at all…it’s a tool for those who needs it and it won’t matter for those who doesn’t need it”
-abusers think they own the world for whatever they’re doing therefore they’ll only allow you to get what they have after they leech your money! and that’s why classic is no longer a game to be played for the play! it’s insanely manifested in real money trades
so what should you do? well it’s never gonna be fair, you either should play by the fail rules or you shouldn’t care much to have things in old 15years game and play for random fun and if you’re not having fun in classic for some reasons then find another game.
One of the easiest ways is to start joining GDKPs.
What I would likely do if I was a new player today is send all items that I am not going to use that I collect along the way to an AH alt and list them while leveling. I would forego spending any gold on any items, including cold-weather or epic flying unless I was going to use those things to complete all quests at max-level.
Either way, I would end up with about 7000~10,000 gold at level 80, which is enough for some GKDP runs. Doing a mix of 10m/25m P1 World Tour GKDPs and Ulduar GKDPs should result in +/- 10k/week, if I am conservative with my bidding, while also allowing reasonable gear advancement.
Combine that with any other gold earning from professions and remaining or repeatable quests at max level, and any other gold farming methods you may enjoy.
it’s easy said than done!
well…for a new player who find him/her self with ~10k as fresh lvl 80, there is not much options, people doesn’t even want to invite that player to basic heroics.
-if that player try to buy some cheap items from AH, the gold will be used and none will invite that player to gdkp
-if the player saved the gold and aimed to join gdkp without having the gear, that gdkp only accept him/her as buyer and they might require him to spend certain xxx gold to get share.
-professions is good but apart from gathering proff, other professions require insane gold to level specially on broken economy server as faerlina, i lvled jc early wotlk on a toon and it costed me 2k gold, now lvling jc on faerlina is +6k g
this is why i mentioned “casual or recently new player” because it’s hell of a time, but thx for your info! some people might get lucky and do use it that way
This shouldn’t be the case. If you put any effort whatsoever into looking up pre-bis and doing some quests/etc. you should be fine. Heck, even spending some time (like during this past AV weekend) grinding honor to get level 70 PVP gear is a really good starting point!
But there are quests for some decent rewards that are quite helpful for some class/specs. I know for my DK, I made sure to do some of the quests in my late 70s so that I was defense capped by the time I hit level 80, which would easily put you in a spot for Phase 1 WT GDKPs.
Of course, you’re most likely going to be expected to at least bid on upgrades, and don’t be surprised if you end up winning quite a few! From what I’ve seen, you may well end up getting 5 or 6 pieces for starting bids of around 500g, which will put you in a good place to start Ulduar runs!
Honestly, even if you don’t choose any professions, you can easily have 6-10K gold by the time you hit max-level based on gold acquired from leveling. If you are sending any unused items to an AH alt and listing them, this will add to your gold pool.
Around the time you hit level 70, you can assess whether it makes sense for you to purchase epic flying or not, but completing TBC zones at level 70+ can be relatively quick and each zone will be about 2-3K gold for a couple or so hours of your time. I found Netherstorm to be particularly quick, and banged out almost 4K gold worth of quests in a morning, after hitting level 70.
Keep looking. There are so many GDKPs! Some will have some requirements, others won’t. Do some research! You ideally want to join a GDKP run where you are both going to have a chance to bid on items within your budget, and will receive a cut of the pot at the end, even though you’re a fresh 80.
Remember though, if you’re a fresh 80 and still wearing level 40 questing greens, that’s on you. Put in some effort to at least get some gear for yourself. You absolutely do not need to spend gold to get it from the AH, but you can weigh the options and trade offs of doing so.
Do you have enough gold to spend a few hundred or thousand on items from the AH? Then go for it.
Will that set you back too much and you’ll miss out on GKDP runs where you can also earn gold? Then don’t spend the gold! Instead look up where your item upgrades from quests or other more easily obtainable means are!
At the end of the day, if you don’t know what you’re doing and aren’t sure what to do, you can ask advice and see what people have to say. If you don’t like what some people say, keep asking to try to find if there are ways that you like that you can accomplish your goals.
Usually, with most things, we make some mistakes along the way while learning. Afterwards, we have a much better idea of how to do things.
So sure, it’s more difficult for a new player that has no clue what to do than it would be for a well seasoned player who knows exactly what to do!
