How to prevent disable all addons button from popping up mid combat?

I’m so mad right now. The Blizzard UI ruined a mythic for me, it wasted almost half an hour of my time.

In the middle of combat maybe 3/4 of the way into a mythic, this pops up on my screen:

“Your addons are experiencing a large number of errors and may be slowing down the game. You can turn on display of Lua errors in the interface options”
DISABLE ALL ADDONS or IGNORE

Well guess what? I was right about to click on a mob when DISABLE ALL ADDONS popped up right under my mouse. Great.
Do you know how easy it is to survive in a mythic when all of your addons that you’ve been using for months suddenly shut off?

All of my addons work just fine. They are not slowing the game down. I don’t care. But shutting off every single addon in the middle of a mythic is horrendous. I couldn’t even just relog and have them all turned back on. I literally had to spend 10 minutes going through all of my addons figuring out which ones I wanted to turn back on.

How do I get rid of this?

Did you try /luaerrors off

Get bugger or bugsack. They keep those lua errors from popping up. Also, don’t blame Blizzard because you’re using out dated or bugged addons. Update the addon/s or disable them.

So this warning pops up even with luaerrors turned off.
Essentially the game is saying “wow, some addon is creating a lot of errors. So many, in fact, it’s insane. Have this popup.”

Bugger or bugsack takes that message/popup and forces it to the chat window so it doesn’t popup.

I update my addons every day. And the ones that are giving the errors do their job just fine. Im not going to disable them, they’re very useful. But this warning from blizz’s UI is in fact dangerous and not useful.

I’ll try it, thanks. I had swatter, and that doesn’t block this popup.

is there a way to turn off the error popup?
If not, then yes…this IS a blizzard problem too.

PhanxFont has not been updated in two years. I would suggest Chatter. It does what PhanxFont used to do, only with more options and is also lightweight.

The same with Fly. I recommend Raven as a good replacement, personally.

Just to give you some options, because unfortunately, we all sometimes have to find replacements for addons we enjoy when people stop updating them.

so you can turn off lua errors with a couple of different console commands. You can also get addons that do so. I have the errors disabled, but there are so many being generated by my addons that this other popup shows up. None of my addons are blocking it at the moment but I’m going to try a couple suggestions from above.

Yes, I have been experiencing this too and it’s really odd! Apparently people summoned me like 5 times and I didn’t see it. And I couldn’t see ready checks. One or more of my add-ons is definitely having some issues!

So chatter isn’t gonna do what I’m using phanxfont for. Phanxfont changes the size of all text in the game.

I ended up getting bugsack. It’s a life changing addon. Thank you bro, I think I’m gonna cry.

The base UI scale will not help with that? I have addons to replace most of my UI, so the UI scale option in the system options will increase the font size for me.
