So I get surprised every time a game does this given there’s decades of precedence saying it just upsets players. Why the constant nerfs? Not to over performers mind you but to under performers or mid picks. Why are there constant nerfs to every piece of content this season but no buffs to under performing classes? It seems like the easier option sure but its really horrible for the playerbase. Players will still only look for meta picks no matter how much you nerf the content just to get the slightly higher chance of completing content. It solves nothing. Telling everyone but the meta picks to esentially reroll or giving classes that aren’t even getting invited to groups nerfs is just causing people to drop the content in its entirety.

That’s the only way. And even then, you have to have never made a video game or declared any intention to have made a video game, because otherwise people will expect you to make a video game and be pissed off when you don’t.

We’re a week out from major and minor reworks for almost every class. There are going to be winners. There are going to be losers. Right now there is about a 20% differential between the lowest performing class and the highest performing class in single target, no idea what is going on in M+
the nerfs and buffs, which occur cyclically,
are there to divert players.
i thought that was generally understood.

Apparently it’s about nerfing specs that don’t necessarily need nerfed, as they’re mid, and not buffing the underperforming specs.

Maybe I read into it a bit but I think OP is saying that when top classes are over powered they nurf those classes. OP would rather see buffs to the content rather than nurfs to top player classes.
Now I’m not saying I agree, that’s just what OP seemed to be saying.
