You basically said “so what” like you gave up ok justifying it, we’re you expecting people to agree?

And you would be wrong, there is nothing you can do to back up your answer. Go equip yourself with ilvl 100 gear and go into PvP with people with 200+ gear, there’s no amount of skill that will let you overcome them.
Not really? Form a rated group and repeatedly lose due to ilvl difference and then magically win enough matches in a row and keep the team together to get the higher level gear and cosmetics? Yeah that’s not happening without carries.
If those goals could be realistically achieved we would not be having nearly these many arguments on PvP here, and we wouldn’t have an issue with PvP participation.

RBG have the least amount of participation because they’re not fun.
That you’re lying through teeth that absolutely anyone and everyone can “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” and win Rated stuff just fine and get cosmetics and the highest gear easily and no one is because they’re just lazy but if they added even more exclusive cosmetics that would solve all the problems?

Hello more random insults, no, Rated PvP is not the majority of the playerbase, it’s one of the more niche one if anything.

People do things cause they’re fun or they get rewards.
If it’s not fun they’ll do it till they get rewards and then stop.
If it’s not fun and they can’t get rewards they won’t do it at all.
I think the point everyone is trying to make is that the game is in a bad state. Cosmetics would help, but they’re not going to fix RBG participation. You created a thread saying how to increase participation, and you shut everyone down. You’re arguing as if increasing cosmetics is what’s going to save the entire bracket from where it’s at, and it just won’t. That’s what everyone else is saying.
- Gearing needs to be fixed
- More tanks need to be viable
- More cosmetic rewards for the top .01%
There isn’t one specific answer that fixes it instantly. There is just way to much wrong with the bracket.

I said the lack of rewards keep people away. This is a fact. None of my friends do rbgs because there is nothing to gain from it, but will spam normal bgs. Its just not worth putting a group together when random bgs is basically the same content.

Oh yeah, I’m also pulling numbers higher than people in full duelist; since your argument is about gear, it’s prudent for me to tell you that; otherwise it has nothing to do with actually winning an RBG via objective outside of ToKM.

These groups are quing into each other too though. Statistically, 10/20 people are winning, and 10/20 are losing.
These are also extremely low MMR games, so no matter how much you want to say gear matters, them being bad is the ultimate reason they’re losing sub 1500.
But hey, you’re probably speaking from experience, and have no room for improvement. How close am I?
They are realistic, because they’re % cutoffs. Nobody is not achieving them.
PvP participation is just on a downhill slope every expansion.
I’ve always argued game design is the antidote to a lot of WoWs problems, this includes PvP. This doesn’t discount the fact that the only rated bracket in the game without specific seasonal rewards don’t deserve them; and it doesn’t make sense to anybody ration to argue otherwise.
Not to you, sure. And that’s okay you have fun doing what you have fun doing, and people who have fun doing RBGs will continue to do the same.
Just because another bracket of content within the game is doubling the participation RBG is doesn’t mean it’s on a decline on its own.

You can farm a full set of honor gear and be fine for rbgs
