Well, it’s better to give than receive is the motto the lovely ladies at the local pathology clinic display on their walls, as they busily administer jabs to all and sundry.
OP’s race. Why cannot stop noticing OP’s race?
Look for the bad peddling or keyboard turning player.
I’m not a new player since I joined in end Legion but if you need a place to rehome that gold, I never seem to be able to keep more than 20k on me at a time. ; ~ ;
I always am alerted to a new player cuz their mount is the initial starting mount for their class or the first flying mount from Outland. No specialty, store or fancy protodrake mounts. Then I look at their gear, are they wearing the wrong gear for their class.
I didn’t read this whole thread but go to a starting zone, like Thunder Bluff or wherever and check their achieves, as some others have already said.
Then ask them how to get to Shattrath. If they don’t know, they’re new.
That’s a crock of tauren dung and you know it. Genres seldom die, sure they don’t stay popular for long but eventually bounce back the way fighting games and platforming titles have. Hells, RTS games are still made from time to time as are MMORPGs [FFXIV is still doing great,WoW is fine despite the decrying from the camp of jaded players,BDO and GW2 are still going strong as are various other MMORPGs,they’re moreor less buy to play for free to play now. Not to mention Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming soon and many are very excited to finally play it.
To most gamers, genres never die as they all have their ups to pair with the downs, the only people who would declare a genre dead due to a popular title would be a camp who only play the latest fad and that’s normally a small group of people.
Now to answer the OP’s question as not to derail the thread,it’s hard to say exactly but often if you see questions asked such as where to find something quest related or click a random person and inspect their gear. If they don’t have heirlooms chances are they’re a new player who hasn’t obtained any yet.
Edit-phone decided to act spastic so didnt notice my typos straight away.
- No transmog.
- No heirlooms.
- No end game mounts.
- Has no idea what Goldshire is.
That’s a good starting point.
Last I remember, you could bring 100-200K with you on a server switch. Did they change it?
And, I’ve given up trying to find someone to donate to. Everyone I find from my server has end-game stuff or heirlooms, and everyone else is from a different server. So my millions will disappear with my account.
you could send a mail to one of the people who helped you answer your question and have them create an alt on the realm in question so that you could feel less guilty about the destruction of that amount of gold…
Or, you could send it in the mail to a random /who who happens to respond to a /w first. That’s what I did when I wanted to delete my most recent Death Knight where my only alt was on opposite faction and didn’t want my to 300g go to waste.
Right click compare achievements see if they have a very low amount or when the first one they got was.
So i should quickly make a character on your server and run around asking noob questions in chat?
You are giving away several million gold to new players? Im new. This is actually a boosted toon and my account is glitched to show that I have a bunch of achievement points that I dont actually have.
If you know nothing about the story besides the story arcs of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, that’s because you don’t value it. Go ahead and do it if you want. If you don’t, that just means you don’t want it and shouldn’t be trying to force others to do research.
It’s not that I don’t value it. It’s more I was absent a great deal of this expansion and am still only catching up. As of this moment, I’m doing the “Uniting Kul Tiras” questline with my “strongest” character. (Strength tied to iLv is limiting in my opinion, but can’t say it’s inefficent.) As it stands, after completing this and the Ready for War questlines, I’ll have “Two Sides to Every Story” done. I can’t focus on visions until I’ve gotten there legitimately.
The issue is that when a new or returning player joins late in the expansion, they throw 10 breadcrumbs at you and tell you to “do all of these right now”.
Unfortunately, the story is created after the fact to justify gameplay decisions by the devs. Much of the “story” we keep hearing about was never presented in the game to give players an “incentive” to purchase books, etc. So of course the “story” is full of inscrutable plot twists and characters acting out of character.
that translates to: “Christie Golden is Canon, and our writers are just copying hers and other fanfic novelists for our sole profit.”
Just give it to me for my Brutosaurus fund. I will always park my toon on Boralus with the mount so nobody needs to go to SW.
I thought there was still a cap on gold that transfers but I don’t know what that cap is.
I guess I am confused. The original post just mentioned that you were planning to give away the funds to a new player and were having difficulties figuring out which ones those were. It didn’t mention anything about you deleting the account.
If you are transfering a toon to another realm you can take at least some of the gold with you. You could always buy large ticket boe items with the gold and just transfer them with your toon to sell on the new realm AH. Once there you could resume your hunt for new players if that is your wish.
Even if the account sub expires the gold would just be sitting there waiting for you when you returned.
I’m new, not out of vanilla yet
