For the night fae i have to go to drustvar for the campaign quest.
I did BOA as horde on an old toon so I know its suppose to be the Dread Admiral tattersail that sends me there, but since im on a new toon that didnt do BOA content I cant go for my campaign? Nathanos only offers me a flight whistle not any of the quests to set up outposts on the other continent.
So how do i start this? do i need to do the 3 zones from the table??

the way bfa content was laid out and locked up was horrible. and the stat/level squish and leveling changes seems to have broken a lot of things and/or made them extremely tedious.
You need to do the quest that lets you pick footholds. You just need to do up to the point that the boat brings you there and then do what you need.
That is how I do the bone dino in voldune on my alliance guys when he is up.
I’m having the same problem. I’ve done zero BFA content on this character. It really sucks that I’m being forced to do a significant amount of BFA content for this character to progress in Shadowlands. I mean not just from a quality standpoint (I hate and skipped BFA) but from a story standpoint. I’m now meeting with Sylvannas and doing missions for her so I can defeat her in the shadowlands?
Lol, good ole Blizzard didn’t consider people might play toons that didn’t go to BFA.
As for getting to drustvar, perhaps a couple of guildies could go to Waycrest Manor and summon you there. That would be the easiest. The next easiest is to do the 5 quests that lead up to the foothold and then choose drust as the foothold. You don’t actually have to do it. The boat will take you to the area and you can fly from there.
Everyone knows MMO stands for solo player game, don’t do content. Sheesh!

Some players say there is a portal next to Ysera that will take you there. But maybe not for Horde players?
The fastest way I found to get there without doing the main BFA quest was to do the Mechagon intro quest (by doing the Nazjatar intro) up until you can tell Admiral Tattersail to take you to Kul’tiras, then just don’t turn in the quest.
Someone said that there’s a portal right there when you get the quest. I haven’t gotten that far on my Night Fae character so I can’t say for sure, but… I would imagine they would just put a portal there.
Noportal showed up next to Ysera?
This is really starting to confuse me. As soon as I accepted the quest, there was a portal between her and Herne straight to Ulfar’s cave.
Didn’t Ysera just open a portal right then and there? She did for me.
She did for me, as well. It seems many people aren’t getting this portal. Dunno why.
Why would the realm of the dead which has never had a living mortal inside it, have a mission that would require a living mortal to go to somewhere the beings inside of the Shadowlands have probably never heard of?
I don’t know if this was updated in the last 5 days, but there is a portal right behind ysera that takes you to drustvar upon accepting the quest.
Ysera/portal are just east of the command table
Okay well…
Once you advance father past the ulfar, the portal will disappear, which means you won’t be able to hearth back to the heart of the forest and retake the portal. It’s only there for the initial segment of the quest
It’s really annoying to have to figure out flight paths without having gone through bfa. The portal next to ysera helps, but I ported out to do a dungeon and now I can’t get back.
Is Ysera not making the portal anymore?

You should get access once you do the 100 war-resources quest.
But this brings up a good point that perhaps blizz overlooked.
Itd be nice if they added a portal there or something incase someone chose chromie time to lvl and ignored bfa entirely.
She never made one for me 
but I did it last week.
Based on what I’m seeing in this and others it’s for Horde that’s bugged. She needs to be less brutal.
Could be, where did the portal bring you? An alliance city? If so that may be 100% why.
If it brought your right to big daddy bear man then idk why horde don’t get it too.
