How to get $80 in Blizzard credit at Shadowlands launch

Step 1: buy Shadowlands epic editon

Step 2: wait till Shadowlands collector’s edition announcement

Step 3: pre order Shadowlands Collector’s edition

Step 4: wait till launch day

Step 5: pick up Shadowlands collector’s edition at your local retailer/wait for it to be delivered to your house

Step 6: redeem Shadowlands collector’s edition code

Congratulations, once you redeem it, you will now have a notification saying $80 in Blizzard credit will be added to your balance, you can then take those credits to either buy WoW tokens, subscription or mount/pets

I know it sounds horrible but think about it, if you ever decided to get the collector’s edition, your pre purchase of the digital copy pays back to you

You can take that $80 into 5 months of free wow sub though

Sure, if I was going to buy SL.

Yes, this was definitely something you should have posted on the Blizzard forums where they can see it and know how you plan to cheat them and not get caught.

First you gotta convince me as to why I should be buying collectors edition in the first place.

It is not cheating. Also, they already announced this for Shadowlands.

You realize the only reason he knows about this “trick” is because Blizzard announced for BfA that they would refund people who bought the digital deluxe version of the expansion if they also redeemed a code for the collector’s edition.

And it’s Blizzard credit, they already have your money.

you’re still spending that first $80 so…what’s the point?

You get the mount and pets now that is the difference. That is why Blizzard started doing this because the CE players were complaining about getting shafted on getting their rewards late.

It also ensures you spend $80 with them.

It does let you use credit if there’s other things you want.

This system has ALWAYS done this. The real difference is that before if you bought digital and physical, you had to talk to support to get credit back. Now it’s automated.

That’s some good information. If only this information was listed somewhere, like in a sticky post at the top of the page, so more people could learn how this works.

It is a sticky/pinned topic!

I dont get how this works…
Can someone put the numbers into how this works?

tks

Can I just do this all through the blizzard store?

can we telling people to preorder any game?

like bad habits people

I don’t get it, aren’t you just paying for the game twice and getting a refund for one?

It’s not a REFUND, it’s a store credit. if someone buy digital copy of the game then later they buy the retail-Collector’s Edition then Blizzard will give them a store credit for the digital copy of the game.
