How to get 5 stars in torghast

How are so many people getting 5 stars solo in torghast? I’ve watched many videos and guides and they all just say the same thing, kill everything, loot everything, and don’t die. So I tried that and felt like I got everything but was only able to get 4 stars in my runs how are people doing this so easy solo?

I don’t have a group to run with and prefer to do torghast solo anyways but I’m having a hard time getting 5 stars. There has to be something I’m missing. How are you guys getting your 5 star runs?

Be sure to use empowered when it’s available. You get more points for doing things while empowered than you would otherwise.

  • Kill everything, break almost everything, save as many souls as you can.
  • Try to not use a lot of phantasma – that awards points as well.
  • Try not to pick up “epic” anima powers – that awards points as well.

It’ll also get easier as you unlock more abilities from the Tower Knowledge tree.

Also remember to go fast! There is a per floor par timer that you have to beat.

See here for full list of sources of extra points:

Some you’ll get naturally, but others you need to be aware of to get. Keep in mind you just need 200 pts for a flawless run, so you don’t need to get everything on this list.

Signs of Kelani has a good youtube video on how to 5 star them.

I actually did my first 5 star on accident, lol. So they arent hard. for some classes, anyway.

Ofc you get more points for making things more difficult on yourself.

You can get 10 additional bonus points if you have no epic anima powers. It is there to reward you for not having the more OP abilities.

Google “Torghast scoring system 9.1” and wowhead has a great article outlining all the different things that give points.

For example:

  • Using the 250 phantasma orb to kill the vendor.
  • Rescuing every ghost.
  • Killing 2 elites within 20 seconds of each other.
  • Defeating the last boss with 500 phantasma on your char.
  • Looting a chest.
  • Not taking any damage from the traps (Big swinging axes, fire grates, etc.)

I had a run I scored like 240 points with a death and not trying to speedrun at all, just being super completionist.

It’s true. Fr.

It’s easy if you look up how to get bonus points.

I got 5 star floor 9 first try because I refused to pick up an epic power and I made sure to get at least 5 obleron parts of the same type.

I wasn’t sure about that, I didn’t like the idea of the game punishing you for picking the anima powers you ought to pick. (more power is good, yes?) but 10 points is not significant enough for me to go that route.

Uhh, you sure about that? 100%ing and decent timing will get you 4 stars. You need bonus points from what I can see to get 5 stars.

I ran the new Torghast last night for the first time and my score was pitiful (99 - 2 stars). There were some areas that I skipped, and I took anima powers as usual. I guess all of that contributed to the low score.

Yeah, you can’t skip anything.

If you miss a quest it’s a dead run.

The new system makes it so skipping anything = wasted run.

Thanks! I should have read up on it first, but I will know for next time.

Is there any perk to getting 5 stars > 4 stars?

Getting pro at it so you can go to floor 9 everytime flawlessly and get the new upgrade mats.

I’m assuming you just upgrade your talent tree faster
