Rolling wow back won’t bring back 12 million subs.

Video games have changed a lot since WoW last had those kind of numbers and people’s preferences change.

I doubt even a brand new MMO (WoW 2 or diablo for example) would ever get the kind of numbers WoW once had.

One can only hope. I leave you to your paradise while I search for mine.

Appreciate the encouragement man. Also appreciate your contribution to the community over many years. Been seing you on forums for as long as I can remember.

With that being said. I’ll make a whole PowerPoint presentation with how each things can help bring subs back, increase playtime and the right way to execute them as well… as soon as blizzard puts me on payroll or starts cutting me checks for consultation services.

BFA isn’t my paradise, but I’m not a child that whine about small things. Nah, I’ve been playing since 19, now i’m almost 30.

I’ll stick with it, regardless…

If i don’t like things, I just take long breaks just like what I did in WOD.

I don’t want lots of the things you put in that list, and I’m sure I am not the only one, your reasoning is everyone wants the same as you, well it doesn’t work that way.

Vulpera as horde? We already know it’s gonna happen, how is something that is already going to happen can be an argument for how to get more subs? Pretty much just an excuse for you to add High elves as an alliance race in your list.

Bring back master looter? I know a lot of people aren’t happy with the current personal system, but I also know a lot of people are glad it’s gone, how does that makes any sens in your suggestions? Make those that are happy with the current system unhappy so you can make the unhappy people happy?

And also as hard as it is to believe there’s many players that are happy to wander around on foot to explore the zones and immerse themselves in the scenes. Some people are fine with how it is right now.

Again, I just feel you are throwing what you want to everyone and we are all supposed to want the same things as you?

This. Thisthisthis. As a middle school teacher who games, I know all about fortnite and pubg and how many kids play overwatch and what other games they play. The long and short is that NONE of my students have the attention spans to work through content as it is presented now. None of them. They don’t care about the story, they don’t care about the history or the world. They just want to blow stuff up. They want to be OP. They don’t even want to do team things, just brag about the stuff they do solo.

When I mention I play WoW they looked it up and went “Eh that’s a kind of strange game” and “seems hard.” You will NOT bring this next generation back via reverting it to any older style of play.

This. The attention span simply isn’t there, and old school gamers clearly aren’t the target audience. People want to log in, jump into the action, and log out. Not log in and prep for hours/days in advance before jumping into the action.

I’m just surprised there aren’t more micro-transactions in the game yet. They’re probably saving that for the next expansion that doesn’t sell over 5 mil copies.

You are very wrong. These are all the things the majority of the market wants.

I can care personally care less about high elves, I don’t even play blood elves for my horde character. You can check my Raider IO for list of my alts. Only Demon Hunter is a night elf because well it’s a demon hunter.

The more casual players tho, most of which are generally alliance and also the RP community will love high elves and will come back in droves to play them.

I would not want to be one of those little beasts just so you can have another Blood Elf reskin.

Which part of my posts states that people will have to log in and prep? If anything it would be more straight to action and less Grinding than now.

Who are these People you speak of? You only speak for you.

You k ow the person who works for blizzard and said “the people want Diablo mobile game”

Just like that but I actually know what I’m talking about

That’s where you lose all credit, you make it sound as blizzard “knows” what we want more than we do using the diablo mobile example, but that is what you are currently doing. You are trying to tell us you know more about what we want than ourselves.

Nope. I’ve killed more blood than elves thanwere in the tree and was justified in doing so.

You have your opinion and that’s fine but you don’t know anything. And as I said the only person you speak for is YOU.

Why can’t you see that Fortnite etc. are just a fad, as much as WoW was a fad? It’s possible to change that gamer culture to whatever the companies want it to be next. People will get tired of the battle royale games just like the got tired of … everything else. So yes, it is possible to promote WoW in that environment.

However, as the OP has indicated, it’s impossible to promote a product that antagonizes its player base. I think it will take radical shift in corporate culture at Acti/Blizz for WoW to ever undergo the kinds of changes the OP posted. I mean massive, massive changes would be required there.

I think it’s more likely that a new company will start the next trend in online gaming, killing both Fortnite and WoW.
